Short Character Bio/History: Girana Spiritflower and her guardian Ryu Hinote are rather unusual creatures and could be considered walking myths.
Girana Spiritflower is a dryad who has lived for roughly two thousand years and has spent those years fulfilling the task of spreading life wherever she could and trying to ensure that everything that lives has a fair chance at living a fulfilling and happy life. Ever since she has met Ryu she has become a bit more enthusiastic about doing other things as well, but by and large she is still primarily a force of nature that goes around spreading life and helping every living thing she encounters purely because she wants to and feels that it is the right thing to do (she calls it her task to spread life but she created that task for herself).
Ryu Hinote appears to be an anomaly in every meaning of the word. One would be hard pressed to ever find a creature like him, he's strange enough that most creatures, be they human or beast, do not know how to react to him, and he seems to obey an entirely different set of rules than most living things. If pressed for an answer he himself would classify himself as a dragon spirit, and refuse to elaborate any further unless he's talking to somebody he actually trusts. Gaining his trust is rather difficult because from the way he behaves and talks one can make out that he is old enough to make Girana and her two thousand years of life feel like a newborn, which has resulted in him not easily being impressed. The only things that are sure regarding him are that his powers involve manipulating certain aspects of this world (what we would describe as elements), behaves like a spirit most of the time but can form himself a physical body, and honestly seems to have only two real goals: protecting/being with Girana, and just loitering.
Story You Want to Have: Currently I do not really have a large story set up for Girana and Ryu. Their current occupation is basically wandering through the lands and making plants and wildlife appear everywhere, while also helping everything that lives (well, mostly Girana, but Ryu will help because that makes Girana happy. Guy is kinda smitten with her. Also extremely jealous).
One idea I have is to use the fact that in the Illegal Cargo thread the two of them made a tree large enough to dominate the entirety of Hargeon Town. The idea is basically that Lamia Scale, a guild which so far has not been used by anybody else (and which seems to be the most nondescript of the guilds currently. Seriously, their description right now is basically 'this guild consists of smart people who keep their heads down to avoid trouble') and which is located close to Hargeon Town, will be drawn to the tree and turn it into their new guild hall, thanks to Girana's and Ryu's actions turning into the new guild Dryad Heart (other suggestions for the name are welcome) which will be the site guild which would have a very strong nature theme (I looked around and while we have a whole lot of different guilds we don't really have a guild which could be considered a representation for druids and similar minded magic users).
Beyond that I honestly am just looking for people willing to travel together with these two outlandish characters (I'm allowed to call them outlandish, right?). Since Girana and Ryu don't have much of a storyline of their own (they only really have that permanent theme of walking around) this would most likely mean that the two of them will meet other mages and adventurers who need help, and after hearing this the two of them will immediately offer to help without really bothering to consider asking for a reward (neither of them really care for material possessions).
Oh, as a fair warning, neither of them likes evil people. Girana is as kind-hearted and good-natured as you can expect of an avatar of life who loves all life, and Ryu has lived a very long time and has encountered enough examples of sentient beings causing trouble for no reason other than to serve their own selfish needs to know not to trust humanoids easily, and proving him right in distrusting you will only serve to really annoy him.
