Mosa took a moment to analyze the group of strangers more closely. The magic of the woman who had healed his wounds resonated with him. Perhaps she drew her powers out of the same realm. This realization awakened something in him, and he burned to learn more about her. Then there was the other being who's energy he had felt more strongly upon waking. She, if in this case appearance was an indication of gender, seemed a bit out of place. He identified her as a dryad, that much was clear, but he was confused by her presence. In any case, there was probably a reason, no need for him to question it. Magical beings were as common as humans in his mental image of the world, well-traveled as he was. The other person seemed entirely without interest in the situation, he was preoccupied with other matters and thought it best to return to them, which reminded Mosa of his own business.
"I am Mosa," the arcane mage started as he got to his feet, brushed off his clothes and ran his hand through his hair, "look I have to get back to business. I've got a gang of drug dealers to bust and terminate. I am, however, in your debt. Should we encounter each other again -and I hope we do- you may call upon me for a favor. Until then..."
Mosa calmly turned around and moved towards the crossing. There were tire tracks on the road, but they faded quickly.
No trail of breadcrumbs this time, huh...
The mage briefly retreated to his memories of the van's features right before his unfortunate tumble from the roof, but it was no use. Instead, he found a piercing flash of pain between his ears. He did not know how long he had been knocked unconscious. Then he felt a strange tingling sensation between his fingers.
The string!
He focused his eyes on the arcane spectrum and noticed the arcane thread leading from his fingers along a street, but instead of being held tight, it was on the ground. The string had been cut. It wouldn't lead very far...
With a sigh, the arcane mage turned around. He had lost his target. "Say, you guys wouldn't happen to have a way of locating a specific van, would you?"

Vierra sighed as she watched Trase walk away. She looked at Girana and shook her head. She didn't want to constantly apologize for apologizing so she let it end there. "Trase isn't going to be of much use here. Bad mood or not, he's going to have to figure out his problems and work them out on his own. I can't do anything for him other than seal away the aspect that haunts him. However, he wants to wait on that." She said to Girana. "Either way, I let him do his thing, but we need to keep him from doing something rash if it comes down to it."
She looked at Mosa. "Are you kidding me? I can't track 'people', but... I know someone who can help." She turned back to Girana. "Girana, wait here, Mosa and I will be right back." Vierra walked over to Mosa and then put a hand on his shoulder. "When we find our target, I'll make a short cut for you. This time easier than your last encounter." She gave a grin. Something in the back of her mind told her that she shouldn't tell Mosa anything, just do. It just felt right. Her eyes wandered around looking for a high spot. She spotted it. The highest spot. The light house was too far away. She then saw a building with a tower on it. Perfect. Suddenly a portal appeared underneath Mosa and Vierra and the two began falling through chaos. Veirra kept her hand on Mosa's shoulder as she stood there. A portal then opened in front of them leading the two out onto the top of the tower. She guided Mosa through and then the portals closed. "Here we are... Alright. Let's look around."
Stop nagging me to help him. I'm not going to. He holds the magic, but he holds the threat too. A voice spouted out. It was rather deep.
Vierra put a hand on her hip. "Look, I know you won't follow my directions, but I am asking politely, show our new friend Mosa what he holds. We already made a deal you're going to be the last one." Vierra looked at Mosa. She smiled with a sort of mysterious look. "So it's like this. Pantu is an aspect. He felt something from you. He doesn't speak up unless he feels he is in danger of not completing his goal. Which is what he senses from you, but he can help too."
Vierra, child, stop. He wields the Arcane Realm as a weapon beyond my understanding.
Vierra looked into Mosa's eyes. "Then you tell him what to do... please..." She hid the nervous feeling she felt from asking Pantu to do something. Usually this would result in some sort of submission from him. However she heard a small low laugh. Pantu was actually entertained.
This is interesting. Vierra, I do hope you know what you're asking, but I am curious to see how far this would go. Very well, Mosa Ezbron was it? Stand out and look. Don't just look, feel as well, if you cannot find the van, then feel for the connection to The Emperor.... Gilgamesh. He seems to be headed in the same direction as the van. Do you feel it? Do you see it?
Vierra could sense Gilgamesh. The direction he was headed. She then looked a little further ahead. She could see a heavily guarded building. "Do you think Trase would be discrete or break in the doors."
I really hope he uses discretion.

Trase made his way to an alley that was away from the eyes of the people in the area. The crowds of the people were completely oblivious to the dangers that lurked near them but ignorance was a bliss. It wasn't like they could deal with those dangers themselves. Most of them would die in their attempt and cause even more despair, something Trase knew too well. Inside of the alley a portal into Sorie's dimension opened up and Trase quickly walked inside of it to see Sorie with her arms crossed. "Bossman, you didn't do a good job with those others at all. They will probably get in the way." Trase scoffed at his partner's comment. "She is with them so they will do what they want anyways. My warning won't make her think much at all and I'm sure the others will follow her. That man seemed like he was chasing after the same group we are so it is unavoidable. We will deal with them if we have to."
Sorie sighed and let go of the topic for now. "The target is in a building that has guards and others patrolling around. It is surprisingly short handed though." Trase didn't waste much time in moving towards the portal as he listened to Sorie. "Keep an eye out but be discrete for anything. I'm going to use 'that' to get around so make sure to not do anything unless you know for certain what is what."
Without waiting for a word back he walked through the portal and quickly used his ability with his magic and in stealth to use the darkness to his advantage. He found a lone guard and quickly used a swift strike to the man's neck to knock him unconscious. He then stared down at the body and started to cast a spell in order to continue his infiltration of the building and find his target. He would be completely disguised in the guard's shadow as well as have control of the guard's body until he was somehow removed from his shadow. He was limited to only what the guard could use but it was a great tool in infiltrating areas as well as masking himself.

Girana couldn't really do much but nod when Vierra said that she should wait for her and the man to return. The dryad wasn't completely sure why Vierra was so forward with this man, but since she could detect anything like a compulsion on either herself or the other woman she wouldn't interfere. She watched everybody leave, leaving the dryad standing alone in the alley, looking around at her surroundings as she waited. While, Ryu was also there, but he was always there. He was as permanently present as her right arm or her heart. The guardian spirit was lazing about for now: he had already got a good look of everything in their direct surroundings and should be able to pick up any threat without much issue. Not one to constantly stay at full vigilance he was humming to himself, giving Girana the strange experience of having another voice humming a melody in your head. The fact that she was used to this would most likely earn her some strange stares if anybody ever found out. Well, not her problem.
The dryad wasn't sure what she should be doing aside from waiting. She could just stand here and do nothing, but that felt like a waste of time. She was in the middle of a town, a bustling and energetic town. There was little greenery or wildlife to be found here. It wasn't a place which she usually visited, and with good reason. She herself enjoyed seeing such a lively and active place, a testament to how one of the species of this world had managed to lift themselves to impressive heights. She didn't understand why people would think that just because she was a spirit of nature she would automatically dislike the humans. She didn't like it when they harmed their surroundings, true, but that counted for every creature in this world. The fact that the humans were often the ones to actually do it just meant that they required guidance along with that ability of theirs to keep improving and developing. She couldn't just abandon them as a lost cause and despise them when their only crime was that they actually managed to come so far using their wits and intelligence. As she had told Vierra before selfishness was not a trait which was specific to humanoids or other intelligent beings. Everything in nature was largely selfish. And that was perfectly fine, since to survive one needed to think about themselves and their own before strangers. In a world with limited resources being selfless was only something that could be afforded by the truly fortunate. The only reason why humans might be considered more selfish was that they could take more than most other species thanks to their development. They weren't more selfish than others. They just had more opportunity to show it.
No, Girana's opinion of humans wasn't why she stayed away from their settlements. Her reasons for that were slightly different. The first being that she just liked the scenery of forests, jungles and swamps better. It wasn't that she disliked cities, but she preferred being surrounded by plants and wildlife, the wild abundance of nature. Cities had their own beauty in how they shone with the pride of humanity, but for a dryad the beauty of wild unkempt nature was still more tempting and alluring. The second reason was that it seemed that those forests and jungles also liked being near her, since wherever she went she tended to leave a trail of dense vegetation, following by an influx of wildlife which saw a new place to live and hastened to take advantage of it. Girana usually didn't mind, but she didn't want to harm the city by forcing it to accept the accelerated and heavy growth. She already knew what could happen if she stayed here for too long. Humans liked to use wood, stone and metal to make their settlements, strong materials each with their own advantages. But in the dryad's presence wood would become alive again and expand, stone would crack as seeds pushed their first tendrils stubbornly upwards, metal would bend as it met head on with the toughness of wood and lost. Girana would try her best to keep the damage to a minimum, but she would most likely end up being the one to blame for more than one house being destroyed or becoming uninhabitable.
The dryad looked down at her own hands, then looked inwards at Ryu, the guardian spirit quickly perking up once he realized that his dryad was expecting something from him. Without her needing to talk he figured it out and helped her out, joining his own energy with hers and helping her shape the spell. The dryad stood there alone in the alley, not moving, as her hands were pressed together and her eyes were closed in focused. The only part of her that moved was her slender lupine tail, slowly swaying from side to side behind her. Then suddenly her nose twitched, as if she was trying to smell something. Then her long but thin lupine ears swivelled and moved back and forth, as if catching a sound that nobody else could hear. Those sensitive to magic would feel a...pulse of sorts, although it was more like an expanding wave...travel through the air, quickly expanding to cover the entire town. The wave was very weak, so while it could be picked up on one would have to be more sensitive to magic than most mages. The fact that the wave was made out of the type of magic that could be found in forests and jungles naturally might also lead to some confusion.
Meanwhile the dryad and the spirit were quickly finding and identifying every source of life force in the town. Their tasks were divided efficiently: the dryad maintained the spell and located each source of life, the spirit identified, categorized and filed each one. They worked fast, but even so with an entire town to cover it would take several minutes before they were finished. However once they were finished they would know every single living entity, plant, animal or other, their location and their nature. Thanks to Ryu's ability to identify and memorize they would also be able to recognize each one. There had been quite a few presences in the town that were stronger than average, although the three that they had already met were quite clearly in the upper ranks. Although the strange one of which they could not be sure what exactly he was seemed to be appearing and disappearing from time to time. Most likely he was using some kind of transdimensional form of transportation.
Beyond that Girana had also noticed that underneath the town life force was quickly increasing as nature sought its caretaker. She would be able to stay a while longer before it became an actual issue, but some people might already be noticing that there were plants were before there was only stone or earth. It was small, so it would require sharp attention to tiny details, but if things continued like this it wouldn't be much long before everybody would begin to notice. And after that the dryad would quickly have to leave before she ended up actually damaging the town.

Mosa raised his eyebrows when she put her hand on his shoulder. Her aura certainly resonated with his, and he knew that their magic was connected on a very deep level. Mosa turned his head to her to look into her eyes as if they held answers, but then they were falling through chaos and void.
This is an Arcane Realm pathway...
Shivers ran down his spine. This was the first other Arcane mage that he had encountered, and she was more experienced than him. Perhaps she could teach him. The very thought of it filled him with energy, motivation and excitement. The next portal led out onto the top of one of Hargeon's towers. Vierra walked out in front of him and scanned the area. Mosa scratched his head as she started talking to herself, or at least that's what it seemed like initially. After Vierra explained to him something about the entity known as 'Pantu', there was a vibration in the air and a deep voice echoed within his mind as well.
"Vierra, child, stop. He wields the Arcane Realm as a weapon beyond my understanding."
Mosa was surprised. They knew about his powers, and whoever this Pantu was seemed to know more than even Mosa himself was aware of. Mosa had first learned about his connection to what was known as the Arcane Realm when he got desperately lost in the woods as a child. He had been about eight years old when he started hunting rabbits for sport. One faithful day he slipped and rolled down a very steep hill straight into a sinkhole. After having been unconscious for quite a while, he woke up while the sun was setting. It was getting dark fast and climbing back up was not an option. The only way that seemed to be lead anywhere was further down into the cave. As fear rushed and swarmed his mind, Mosa panically tried to find his way out through the darkness, hoping to find light before anything dangerous found him. The tunnel narrowed and he had to squish himself through a crack in the wall before reaching a cavern where very faint beams of light were coming own from cracks and holes high above. The cavern itself was big and he could not discern any walls or further tunnels. Mosa was getting desperate and panic was taking a hold of him. Then his body flinched and went sprawling across the floor when he noticed a massive sleeping cave bear not five meters away from him. As muscles started to contract and the beast began to move, Mosa's breathing got out of control. His body was paralyzed with fear. A deafening roar signalled certain death as the furry giant rose to stand tall considering human meat for breakfast. Everything became blurry when the bear came at him. All he can still recall to this day is raising his arms and unleashing something from within. At the time, it had felt like breathing out all the fear from his being. When he opened his eyes, he was no longer in a cave. He was in a place that had been the landscape of his dreams for as long as he could remember. A strange realm filled with swirling energy, colors that he had never seen before, strange shadows and the sensed presence of entities beyond his comprehension. Yet the magnificence of this place, he understood it inately to his very core. This time, however, he knew that he was not dreaming. A voice spoke to him that day, or rather, a collective of voices all speaking in sync. The voices explained that he was in birthplace of magic and that from that day forward, he could call upon it to give him strength and power. It would protect him and teach him how to bind pure magic to his will. Over the years, he had come to learn that he was one of the Chosen, a Servant of Arcana, a Hand of Fate. They told him he had a great destiny to fulfill and, being an only child, he never questioned it. He accepted it as his responsibility. That day, he was marked with various strange arcane markings on his body that hold different specific forms of Arcana magic. However, it has been sixteen years since then, and only two tattoos have revealed their secrets to him thus far, both of which he has far from mastered.
"What are you talking about?" Mosa asked aloud, his face clearly displaying his confusion. But his question was ignored. Vierra looked into his eyes and ordered the voice to instruct Mosa on a specific task. This whole time, Mosa had been trying to figure out what she was trying to do, until he realized that his very first lesson was starting now. She must have known about his connection to the Arcane Realm since the moment he shoved her at the market. Mosa was impressed.
The deep voice interrupted his thoughts and was granted his full attention. Mosa closed his eyes and followed the instructions closely, until he realized he had no idea what he was doing. He felt the wind rush past his skin, his robes dancing along, and he heard the waves hit the shores, but no sign from the Arcane Realm permeated through the sensory stimuli.
"Two questions," the arcane mage said, "who is Gilgamesh and how am I suppposed to 'feel' this guy?"

Vierra then felt a pulse from a pocket in her chest. She blinked and then shook her head. She put a gloved hand under her jacket then pulled out a black card. She held it with her index finger and thumb gazing at it. It pulsed in her hand. She didn't understand what it wanted. She looked at the front of the card. Illustrated, was a cloaked figure holding a lantern on his left. On his shoulder was a brown eagle looking out into the distance. Flipped over the card was solid black with a filligree design around a curved letter "A." The card held a blue aura around it. She looked at the card and then to Mosa. "It just keeps vibrating." She then held the card closer to Mosa. It started to calm down right next to him. She then held the card further away and the aura began to pull straight at the mage. She smiled and then held the card with in reach of Mosa. "You have an interesting effect on this guy right here."
What is this? The voice sounded curious. Vierra's grin grew. The aspect felt the same pull, but instead of going with the flow and moving forward it pulled back. Vierra sighed. The Fate stayed with her. She shook her head and kept a smile. However behind that mask, there was a bit of disappointment. She was going to have to see this to the end. You've got work to do, Vierra.
Upset by the fact that the assertive aspect did not want to move over, Vierra shrugged. "I was just curious, that's all." As soon as Mosa were to grab the card from her hand she would go back to crossing her arms standing out there watching. She knew were they were headed, but she figured it would be better if she left Mosa on his own with the card. "When you're through point me in the direction we need to be." She then opened a rift in logic. It was large enough for Girana to go through. She reached through the portal with her hand. It was paper thin this time. Just a simple step through and Girana would be on the tower with them. She pointed her index finger at Girana then made a jester for her to come forward and walk through.

Using his spell, Trase made the guard move around the area while he was hiding in the guard's shadow. No one would be able to tell Trase was there unless they had some sort of ability to sense his control over the man which he figured not many of the people there would know how to do at all. The controlled guard moved around the outside of the complex until a voice called out to him causing Trase to stop in his tracks. " Hey Griff, Why are you over here? Thought they had you patrolling the other side of the complex?" Thoughts of how to reply quickly ran through Trase's head. He didn't know much at all about the guard he was in control over or any of the regular duties of the guards around them. " Uhh.. Sorry. I really have to go to the bathroom now. It just suddenly hit me out of nowhere really, really bad. Feels like I have a truck backed up in there, you know?" He made the Griff's body move his hand onto the back of his head a scratch nervously. " Don't say anything to the boss about this please! Its natural after all but I'd rather not get scolded for this." He then quickly ran off into the complex as the other guard nodded and rolled his eyes. He felt that he might not get as lucky as he had just did many more times. He had to quickly use his current disguise to find his target and then figure out his next move before the enemy could react well enough. If he was too slow or got caught like that again then he could get into a situation which forced him into a dire situation. Once inside the complex he quickly saw what was going on in the place. A moderately sized facility that was manufacturing different types of drugs. A anger grew in Trase as he looked at the different children being used to work on the drugs. It was a common thing to use children for their innocence for working on different things back underground organizations. The anger was shown on Griff's face also which Trase quickly remembered that his expressions and feelings were now just as much Griff's as his own so he regained control of himself. " I'll save you all...." He spoke under his breath as he moved deeper into the facility where he found his target who glared at him like he was nothing but trash. The young man's blue eyes were bright and vibrant which easily displayed he was not all human if not at all. They stood in a corridor between what looked like a main meeting room with multiple shady looking men inside of it. " Griff... Why are you not in your area patrolling...?" The young man asked coldly.

Girana and Ryu finished their scan, now having a good understanding of all the lifeforms that were present in the town. Beyond the three powerful mages that they had already met and talked to (somewhat. They hadn't directly talked to Trase, just listened to him before he decided to leave and go do his own thing) there were several others, and one of them was not human, just like how Trase had been non-human. And it looked like Trase was heading towards the other non-human, which could mean a lot of things. Ryu, being the more pessimistic one, assumed it was bad. Girana was just curious. However she couldn't go and find out herself. Vierra had told her to wait here, and while the dryad wasn't really familiar with the idea of obeying the commands of another, especially a human, she did understand that if they wanted to work together properly while capturing these Arcane Aspects that threatened this world she would have to show willingness to wait for Vierra to finish her own stuff. Beyond that it was also just impolite to walk off after the other had told you that they would be back before long.
Ryu meanwhile was thinking at high speed inside the dryad, even though he kept up the humming. Vierra was someone they should be able to trust. She gave the very strong impression of being a woman with no real ill intent, although the fact that she didn't appear to be very aware of who she really was could make things a bit more confusing. So far as the guardian spirit could see the arcane mage was primarily focused on what she had declared their mission, capturing those Arcane Aspects so they wouldn't be able to harm this world (he suspected that she also just thought they were better off inside their own Arcane Realm). Beyond that if he had to guess he'd say that she wanted to know more about herself. It was already obvious that her memories were either sealed away or simply gone, at least a good portion of them. Girana was too polite to actually ask about it since it was most likely a sensitive subject, and Ryu wasn't the type to just start up a random conversation like that (if only because he was perfectly happy lazing about inside of Girana and letting her do all the interacting with the outside world). He did wonder what she had been like before though. She seemed nice currently, but if you lived long enough you'd encounter a lot of things, and for some people regaining their memories wasn't as pleasant as they might have hoped. After all, sometimes the reason that you lost your memories was that you honestly were better off without them. For that matter, everybody else could also be better off when you don't have your memories. He wondered if he'd get to see her regain her memories and what they were. And how she'd react.
As for this newcomer that Vierra was so friendly towards, the spirit didn't really know a lot about him other than that he shared that arcane energy Vierra possessed. Or at least showed a great similarity. Seeing how Vierra was behaving around him the dragon reasoned that either she knew the man already, or she knew him before she lost her memories but even though she lost those memories she didn't lose her opinion of that person, even if her amnesiac personality might be somewhat confused by it. Either way, Ryu didn't think he would be a problem, but better to err on the side of caution than to let his dryad come to harm.
And then there was that Trase person. Of that one Ryu didn't know whether he was safe to be around or not. Vierra had said that he tried to do good, but from the way that she spoke of him she didn't particularly like him (an understatement), and she had also said something which basically came down to him not always taking the best approach to doing what he was supposed to be doing. And then there was the fact that Ryu couldn't exactly figure out what he was, only that he wasn't human, and that whatever else it was it wasn't good. Normally being non-human actually netted you some points with the spirit, since unlike Girana he did dislike the humanoids for always claiming everything for themselves. He understood Girana's reasoning and wouldn't argue with her about it, but from his own perspective humans were primarily a nuisance. Granted, Ryu was a lot more self-centred than Girana so he listened a lot more to what he himself thought than the dryad, who instead carefully considered everything and how it affected the world. He was pretty sure that if he were to search Girana's honest feelings about humans he would also find signs that deep down she disliked them for always being so damn greedy.
So, usually being non-human was good according to the dragon. But Trase gave him a bad vibe. Not necessarily evil or utterly corrupt, but whatever it was he didn't like it. He'd have to keep an eye out for that one, especially since Trase was heading directly for another one of those non-humans who gave him a bad vibe. That was either going to be one hell of a confrontation or they were meeting up on friendlier terms.
While Ryu was considering all of this the dryad nearly jumped back when suddenly another one of those strange rifts appeared, and Vierra's hand came through and beckoned. The dryad hesitated for a bit, finding the sight of the disembodied hand in the rift somewhat disturbing, before following the hand and stepping through, looking around as she noticed that she now was standing on top of a tower together with Vierra and Mosa. Nodding at Vierra the dryad turned towards the location where she had sensed Trase and the other non-human, pointing at it.
"The one that we met before is there with another strong presence, non-human. I can't tell what exactly it is. Is there anybody else I should be looking for?"

Mosa waited for an answer and more instructions, but was given a mysterious card he had never seen before instead. Though before Vierra even took it out of her pocket, Mosa had felt the magnetic pull toward it. At first he thought it was Vierra herself, hitting on him with seductive arcane powers, but it was the card that had been pulsating. He was a bit nervous, but much more than that was he excited and intrigued. He eagerly reached out and gently took the card between his fingers. Many different feelings were rushing through him, but all he could distinguish was that it felt right. As he gazed upon the image on the card, it began to disintegrate in pure white light. When the light began to fade, a sudden intense burning sensation on his chest. It was unlike any chestpain he had ever felt, and he had been stabbed before, and he could even feel heat radiate through his clothes. He loosened the straps and unbuttoned to reveal that the arcane marking on his chest was glowing a fiery orange and smoke was escaping from its surface. The marking itself was a collection of rings of symbols on the left side of his chest, above the heart. The rings were centralized and organized in three layers, outer, middle and inner. The outer circle were arcane symbols of which Mosa had not yet learnt the meaning. The middle circle were the arcane symbols of certain celestial bodies, though not all of them. The inner circle was filled with letter numbers, he guessed they corresponded to the respective symbols in the higher layers. The symbol that was lighting up was the number 9. Then the burning settled but the glow remained. The energy within surged and Mosa found himself tapping into a new, incredibly powerful area of Arcana magic. One he was eager to meditate upon to discover all of its secrets. The magic focused itself on his eyes and it was as if all of his other senses were heightened and translated into visual stimuli somehow. He could see for miles, identify scents in the streets by colored fumes, discern specific sounds by observing the vibrational distortions in the air, feel surfaces by the focusing on the texture of objects, analyze the emotional disposition of living beings by picking up on released hormones and heightened heartbeat. The main attribute that Mosa could identify, was intensity. The variation of intensity in visual representation of sensory stimuli gave rise to a wide degree of meaning and interpretation. The stronger a scent, the more saturated its colour; the rougher a surface, the sharper its texture, etc. "Amazing..." Mosa whispered to himself. Then the sense of urgency came to him and he remembered why they were here in the first place. This power would allow him to find his target somehow, he only had to focus it correctly. Following his intuition, the arcane mage dug into his memories and tried to summon as many details about the dealer as he could, as well as the van that he escaped in. He gazed in the direction of the building from which he had fallen and a trail became lit up brightly. The trail started with the fading tire tracks, which where now blazing an azure blue, sparkling in the sun, then other shining objects and scratches on surfaces continued to lead him towards an old abandoned industrial building on the edge of town. Suddenly, without even trying, his sight was focused on one of the guards. The guard was unconscious in front of the facility, until he suddenly stood up but his aura felt strange. Something was off. The guard disappeared into the building and Mosa's arcane vision faded and returned to normal. The quick change of visual input made him steady himself on his legs for a moment and shake his head. He smiled to himself as if he couldn't believe what had just happened, then he looked at Vierra. "I know where we need to go. There's an old industrial facility on the edge of town in that direction," he said as he pointed his index finger straight at the building, though they could not really see it from here. "I have the feeling something is about to happen in there, we must hurry. Is it possible for your portals to reach that far?"
He then noticed the dryad had appeared on the rooftop with them. He had not given her much attention yet, and realized it had been rude. He tried to meet her eyes to give her a kind nod and a smile, though he wasn't entirely sure if human body language would translate the same way to dryads..

"Alright then lady and gentlman," Vierra said with a smile putting her hand on both of their shoulders and guiding them to the edge of the tower. She looked at the facility and gave a small concerned look. "Off we go!" Vierra opened another portal this time out of view of the two and just under the first lip of the tower. She shoved the two off the tower then jumped through herself. As soon as they went through the portal, they both landed in a dark area. Vierra felt around her and noticed that she had placed the three into a large crate. She felt under her hand that there was a bit of powder. "........ Shit." She cursed. Vierra knew she had messed up. She kicked at the crate only making matters worse by making the powdery substance go into the air that they were breathing. She was losing her breath as she continued to kick the side of the crate. Finally she busted her way through the box. She immediately found herself a few meters behind Trase. She pointed at Trase. "HEY YOU! STALKER GUY!" She said loud. She walked up to him and then glared. "I don't care who you are! You do NOT get yourself in a powdered sugar facility."
Vierra, tell me you didn't make Mosa breath that powder in... Tell me YOU held your breath.
She turned her head to the side and immediately spouted out like she was talking to nothing. "Fine then I WON'T tell you." She then turned her head over to Trase and blinked. Her body felt pretty tingly from the mess and she was feeling a surge of power in her body. Vierra smirked. "Okay, let's do this then. You give me the guy we take him out of the picture and all of your worries are gone."

Trase was too fixated on the young man with glowing blue eyes to hear the sudden noise of a foot slamming against one of the crates nearby over and over again. He had found his target and was in a situation where he needed to decide between continuing his with his disguise or abandoning it in order to reveal himself and move on to the next step of his plan. His deep thought was cut off suddenly by his target speaking about the loud noise though. "What the hell is that?!" The young man took his focus off of the Trase controlled Griff and looked back at one of the many crates near them, summoning a bluish-white flame to his right hand as the crate had part of it fly off. A white powder swarmed the air around the crate which caused both the young man and Trase controlling Griff to cover their faces with their free hand(s) due to their enhanced sense of smell. Trase instinctively did it but played it out as if he had meant to.
"Who the hell...!? Who goes there!?" Trase spoke out through Griff but felt somewhat weird sounding like he was speaking out unlike some random city thug and more like a royal guard of the king. He turned his view on the mess created by the box being kicked opened to see Vierra moving around sluggishly and yelling directly at him as if she was going to attack him. Griff's eyes widened from Trase's anger and confusion as to why and how the woman decided to appear like that in a place that they knew completely nothing about. Before he could respond in any sort of way the young man did.
Fire erupted from the young man's right hand and he dashed forward towards Vierra with his fist cocked back to strike. "Intruders!" He yelled out as he quickly moved towards her and flung his flaming fist at her causing bluish-white flames to erupt all around the area but something was off about how his fist connected. He couldn't immediately tell because of how the flames covered where his fist had hit but his eyes widened in shock as he found a purplish-black sheet of metal had stopped his attack.
Trase stood just in front of Vierra, having gave up on controlling Griff who now laid unconscious near them. "Nice way to infiltrate the area, idiot." He spoke out to her and then released his spell to drop the metallic shield he had placed in front of them. He was wearing a purplish-black metallic mask over his nose and mouth to avoid breathing in the drug in the air which muffled his voice a bit. His blue and red eyes locked onto the bright blue eyes of the young man. "Hello Lusin, my brother." Lusin quickly jumped back from the two as the guards of the building and others came to see what was going on all around them. "Why are you here!? To kill me too!?" Lusin yelled out angrily at his older brother. Trase only looked ahead to his brother, not caring about anything else going on around them. "I'm here to be a big brother finally and stop you."

When Mosa nodded and smiled at Girana he would find the dryad smiling back at him, as if she was genuinely glad to see him again. Granted, that was pretty much how the dryad smiled at everybody. She didn't really mind the fact that he hadn't paid a lot of attention to her. You couldn't blame a man who had just fallen off of a roof and been brought back to consciousness only to then be treated by another as if an old friend to take the time to step back, observe the world around them, and politely introduce himself to others in the area. Especially since Vierra hadn't given him much time to do anything before she had pulled him through one of her rifts and onto the tower that the three of them were now standing on. Besides, all three of them were a bit busy right now, although Girana had to confess that she was still somewhat confused about what. According to Vierra there were smugglers active in this town, and so far as the dryad could see they were trying to get rid of those. Which still made her mildly uncomfortable, especially with that Trase person basically telling her to stay out of human matters, something which she had done for most of her life. She just hoped that Vierra knew what she was doing, because right now Girana was honestly just tagging along and trying to figure out what to do. She didn't have a lot of time before her presence would become a problem for the town, but so far there didn't seem to be any clue here that would help with locating those Arcane Aspects that Vierra wanted to find.
At which point the woman in question basically pushed Girana and Mosa off the tower, sending them to meet an unknown fate.
Luckily that unknown fate wasn't to smash against the cold hard stone ground far below, but to instead be trapped inside a box. Granted Girana most likely wouldn't have died from that fall anyway, but she still found it an improvement. It seemed like Vierra really liked to play little tricks where she could afford it. She could hardly blame the woman for that, although being pushed off the tower like that had made her heart skip a beat, so she hoped that next time the arcane mage would be a bit more careful. Although from the snickering in the back of her mind she could deduce that at least Ryu had found it rather amusing. He was the one who would ensure her safety, and while pushing Girana off the tower was rather rude he knew that he would be able to keep her safe with little issue.
More importantly, it looked like Vierra had dropped them into the middle of things. They were stuck in a crate, with Girana making herself as small as possible so the other two wouldn't be bothered by her presence, but her wolfish ears twitched as she picked up sounds from outside the crate, at the same time sensing their life force, souls and magic. Well, the magic sensing was more Ryu, but he directly gave her all the information anyway. It looked like that Trase person was quite close to this crate, although he seemed to be masking his presence somewhat. There was another person who wasn't bothering to try and hide their identity, and felt similar to Trase. Somebody related to him? There was a third presence, but that was just an unremarkable human. The only thing worth noting there was that the man felt...absent. Not gone, absent. The dryad was glad that she had Ryu. Without him she would have been quite confused. It was only his ability to analyse combined with his knowledge and experienced which allowed her to gain a proper grip on what was going on.
The dryad flinched when Vierra kicked the side of the crate, sneezing when suddenly the air inside the box was filled with some strange form of powder. Some form of drug it seemed. Well, it was most likely designed to work for humans and humanoids, but Girana herself didn't really notice it affecting her. She couldn't help inhaling some of it, but her body took it in and dismantled it with little issue. Definitely something meant for animals, not what could be seen as a walking and talking tree (although Ryu would argue that a walking and talking tree wouldn't be as pretty).
Once Vierra freed them from the crate Girana stepped away and stretched, her emerald eyes inspecting the surroundings. They seemed to be inside some kind of warehouse? Girana wasn't too sure what humans called this kind of place. She could sense quite a fair amount of humans in the vicinity. Ryu classified those as guards, seeing how the humans wouldn't leave a place filled with crates of drugs unprotected if they were the ones smuggling it. That and there was the fact that their equipment made them heavier, which caused them to put more pressure on the ground beneath them. They were also beginning to move towards the three intruders and the two non-humans who most likely were related with the similarities they were showing.
"My turn."
Ryu said this just before Lusin attacked Vierra only to be blocked by Trase. If anybody had been able to see the spirit hidden inside Girana they might have been worried by the mischievous grin that he was making to himself (of course, being a spirit the whole grinning thing was more that he was showing emotions whcih translated into a mischievous grin. Or at least, that was the best explanation he could give to physical creatures. Communication between spirits and between physical entities didn't translate that well to each other). The white-bluish flames that Lusin released with that attack at first were doing their job, but then he would notice that the flames that he had already released were spiralling upwards, changing colour as they became the green of forests. At the same time a presence began to fill the air, the entire space. A most definitely inhuman presence, and one which seemed to be more amused than anything else.
The green flames gathered into a swirling orb in the air, which suddenly quite quickly began to take on a strange humanoid shape. A 6'5" humanoid, covered in green scales which looked more like leafs than actual scales. Honestly it looked like some kind mix of draconic and lupine features which then were given a humanoid shape. Forest green scales, deadly claws for feet, horns, large wings, but at the same time three long lupine tails, wolfish ears, and fur the colour of flame covering the tails, the ears, the wings, the forearms, the lower legs and the back, with messy hair of the same colour that nearly hid his eyes. Legs that were too long for the torso, and arms which were just as long as the legs. All in all a strange apparition, and if to make things even stranger it had black markings on its chest and on its face, underneath the eyes and on the nose. The long scarf which was made out of literal leafs was at the same time both fitting and out of place.
The creature opened its eyes, bright orange eyes with slitted pupils which looked around even as he began to fall towards the ground. Ryu grinned, revealing that not only his lengthened canines but all his teeth were sharp and pointy.
"Don't mind me, I'm just going to make sure those rude humans won't interrupt the touching family reunion."
With that he slammed into the ground, landing on his hind claws even as he folded inwards as if a spring. When he touched the ground there was a tremor, and the oncoming guards would find the ground separating them from the intruders and Lusin rising up to form a rather solid (if rough) looking circular wall about three meters tall. Ryu himself unfolded and bounced back upwards, spinning several times in the air before landing on top of the wall, crouching on top of it like a gargoyle (he even has the wings for it) as he grinned at the guards that were now being barred from rendering aid to their ally.
"Good day, ladies and gentlemen! I'm truly sorry for this but you must pay the entry fee before I can allow you to join the family reunion. Budget cuts, you know. If it were up to me I wouldn't mind letting you in but the higher ups would have my head if I did. The entry fee is being able to take my punch without dying, losing consciousness, having any of your bones broken, or anything else which would cause you to be incapable of defending yourself should you be attacked by something large and angry. Like a bear. Dangerous creatures, bears. Could just show up and ruin your day if you aren't prepared. I know, I know, that's pretty expensive just to join a family reunion, but it's a family reunion between two demons! That's a one in a lifetime opportunity you know. So, any takers?"
Girana didn't know whether to giggle or sigh in exasperation. It seemed Ryu had decided that he was feeling playful after Vierra pulled that trick that included pushing the dryad off the tower. She watched her eternal companion as he grinned down at the humans, his three long tails swirling behind him as he waited for their response. She really hoped he didn't go overboard. He might be playful at the moment, but playful for Ryu could have some very nasty results for normal creatures. At least, if he was enjoying himself too much to remember that most creatures weren't as sturdy as he might expect them to be.

A feeling of déjà vu greeted him as Mosa fell forward over the edge of the roof. His heart surged as he fell through the portal and landed in a dark confined space. He looked around in the chaos and confusion, but found himself caught in a fog of blue powder that conquered his airways as Vierra kicked the crate open. He had not even had the time to cover his face, and he knew exactly what kind of powder he had just inhaled.
"Whoa..." He uttered while his eyelids twitched uncontrollably and his consciousness retreated into his mind for a brief moment.
Immediately, he found himself tapping into his magic, involuntarily. He felt it radiate through his body on many different levels of awareness. Every heartbeat released a pulse of ecstasy, reinforced by the sensory impulses his brain was receiving from his heightened senses. Mosa had never felt this great before and stepped out of the crate taking in his surroundings. He was basking in energy and all the magic around him seemed to add more to it. His fears and worries dissolved and he felt untouchable, blissfully oblivious to the escalating fight only a few meters away from him, until the dryad's releases of her inner spirit drew his attention.
What a majestic creature... Mosa thought to himself as he gazed over the hybrid features of the being. The beast unfolded and isolated them from the approaching guards by controlling the element of earth itself. It then took off, seemingly eager to unleash itself upon the hostiles.
Time then slowed down, Mosa realized that he had become a conscious observer to the actions of his body, as if he had swapped places with his unconscious. He saw the others: Vierra, the man who was with her when she had healed Mosa, and another stranger with remarkable blue eyes, whom they seemed to be facing off against. Then, he realized why he seemed to be stuck in slow-motion, he understood it internally and immediately. From the shadows, another figure arose. In fact, the same figure stepped through the darkness of surrounding shadows several times. It was the man whom he had been following, the man with the burned hand, though he had abandoned all of his costumes. There never was more than one dealer transporting the goods, it had been this guy all along. As time crawled to a stand-still, Mosa tried to move, but nothing happened. He had been reduced to an observing state, taking in the information, responding to them mentally, but not actively.
As the dealer and his doppelgangers stepped from the shadows to surround Vierra and the two others, Mosa felt the urge to act. The features of the man were being burned into his memory. White long hair was slowly waving behind his neck, a slender figure that seemed as strong as steel, skin as white as snow and fiery orange eyes in stark contrast to his ice cold appearance, facial features so sharp he seemed almost elven. The man was wearing a grey sleeveless vest, decorated with black symbols that seemed to bleed over onto his arms in the form of tattoos. His index figure was a silver claw in which surrounding magic seemed to disappear. A syphon.
This man was deadly to the core, and Mosa did not understand his purpose.
The white-skinned mage had been present during each and every run-in with the drug dealers Mosa had had over the course of his chase. He had always been in disguise, and given the impression, not only on the level of appearance, but also on the subtle levels of body languages and magical vibrations, that he was a minor subordinate victim to his circumstances. Mosa dubbed him 'White Shadow' It was very likely that he had been the same dealer that Mosa had beat up at the tavern, all those nights ago. The night that he started following this trail. Without a doubt, this man had also been responsible for Mosa's unfortunate fall from the roof, after which he had come to meet all others that were currently there with him. Not only were they there with him, but it seemed as if they would have been there regardless of whether he had met them on the way or not.
Fate. Once again. But was it divine or by intelligent design?
Then, time began to pick up pace and gain momentum once more. Mosa understood his role. His unconscious had assumed control, his conscious self was in charge of analyzing the situation and his surroundings and coming up with the best response, his body would do the rest.
He watched as his right arm stretched out before him, time was still going at least half as slowly as normal, his fingers spread and the arcane marking on his forearm glowed bright, the white light pierced through his clothing. A white thunderbolt was released from the palm of his hand, leaping from the nearest white haired mage to the next, zapping each one in turn. Though the spell did not seem to have an immediate damaging effect, its properties became clear once the nearest White Shadow turned around to face Mosa, all copies of him turned around.
Time returned to its normal pace, and Mosa felt the rush of the drugs return more intensely, surging through his every vein. With a crooked smile he greeted the White Shadow, hungry for a fight.

Vierra looked over at Ryu and gave a smile. The last time she actually saw this creature was when he burned her hand. She shook her head. "Oh no..." Vierra said. She felt her head as it began to spin. She began regretting her decision to be involved. She could feel her magic surge. Through her veins and into her face. She didn't like this feeling at all. To go on a ride was one thing, but the fact that the energy in her was increased. ".... This... isn't... good." She continued to try and keep her aura down, but no matter what she did. She couldn't help it. Arcane energy began to seep out of her body. It felt good, but this was a familiar feeling. She then stopped and closed her eyes. With her face like a fox, she stood there and looked around. She gave a grin and looked at the young man who was itching for a fight. "Well, it seems you've gotten younger since we last worked together." She then looked at the dryad and noticed what was going on. "You know I never thought I would say this, but I'm actually grateful to be around supernatural things for once." It was like her mind had completely switched.
Vierra looked forward and gave warm smile over to Trase. "Well if it isn't Cirven, I see you and Alyia have let our guild go. Akryn has taken over it and he's pretty much lost as to what to do next," she walked up to him, with her closed eyes still. "I'm no longer an ace and I don't have Heavenly Body Magic anymore, but I'm certain I can continue to help you out with this one." She cracked her knuckles in her signature way then her aura changed to a blue. She stomped her foot on the ground. Nothing. Usually she is able to crack the floor. "Oh this is different."
Kyll, you're an arcane mage now. You're no longer the tank you used to be.
"Gotcha," she said. She then rubbed her hands together and then opened a portal and jumped through landing behind Lusin. She sent a spin kick at him. "Just do me a favor and go down easily." Vierra looked over at Mosa. "Don't go too crazy over there. We still got work to do."
What?.... What is going on? Vierra thought. She didn't even know what she was saying. Moreover, why was she so familiar with Mosa at this moment. Vierra looked back at Trase and then gave him a very familiar smile. The same one that the closed eyes mage gave him the first time they met.

Post by Trase on Apr 15, 2016 5:21:03 GMT
Trase had a lot that quickly came into his view or he sensed in a short time. There was the new being who seemed to form out of nowhere and form a barrier of earth around him, the others and Lusin. He didn't know who it was and why it was helping but felt that he didn't need to worry about it, for now at least. It did give him a sort of chill that something like that could form out of nowhere though.
There was also the fact that the man that was with Vierra was now taking on a different look from he had earlier. He took on a more aggressive glare and attacked a new enemy. They seemed to know each other also which left Trase with the thought of leaving the man to deal with the enemy himself. It was something that did not concern him anyways and he did not want to take his focus off of Lusin either.
The last thing he more or less felt was that Virra had suddenly changed. Her aura felt different as well as she called him Cirven. Her face had changed into a more closed eye look as well as her voice sounding different. She even carried herself differently. She wasn't herself now possibly from the drugs was from what Trase thought. "Kyll...?" He questioned her as she quickly teleported to Lusin and swung her foot out making contact with his head and sending him into the ground.
Lusin caught himself with his hands but anger filled his mind and body and flames erupted out from around him in an attempt to engulf the woman near him and he jumped back to the edge of the barrier around them. His glowing blue eyes stared at his brother and his allies only showing pure anger and disgust towards them. "I'll burn you all to ash! I don't care who you are at all! You will be reduced to nothing but dust in the wind by me!" He yelled out and was readying himself to move at his brother but stopped as a part of the barrier was blown through suddenly. "Hey boy. Don't go taking all of the fun for yourself now." A older man came through the new hole that was present in the barrier. He ware a black and red suit and carried himself confidently as if he had nothing at all to worry about with the enemies all around him. "Boss Bruno!" Lusin spoke out in slight shock from the sight of the other man. "I have come to help you out a bit, boy. Don't let me down now with the intruders here. Family or not they are invading in things that do not bother them. Could have been so much easier if they just asked to come in." Trase moved closer to the two men and stared down the man who had just joined them.
"So you are the one who has been watching over my brother now? Thanks for that but I am going to be taking him back now. It is what our mother wanted." Before he could keep speaking Trase was quickly cut off. "You mean the mother you killed?! I found a better place here with people who want me around! People who would not kill those precious to me!" Trase snickered and glared at his brother. "Lusin, it was the only way and was what she wanted." Flames erupted all over Lusin's body and a ball of bluish-white flames shot out from the young man's hands towards Trase who blocked the blast of flames by placing his hand out in front of him and forming a metallic shield. Before he could do anything in retaliation though Bruno was in front of his shield and swung his fist into it, breaking through it and making contact with Trase's stomach. The impact caused Trase to gasp out for air but he still managed to use his magic to summon out a blade of his metal and slash down towards Bruno but somehow the man was able to quickly dodge the attack causing sparks of electricity to come off of his body as he did so. Bruno swung out his foot and slammed it across Trase's face sending him into the barrier and to the ground.
As the pain of the last attack set in, all Trase could think of was how fast his opponent was as well as how skilled he seemed to be in a short time. He didn't have much time to do anything though as he tried to push himself up, coughing from the last attack. Bruno stood over him grinning. "Is this really all you can do? Your brother is actually of way more use to me than you." Bruno bent down and whispered to Trase. "...And I plan on using him for all of his worth until he is milked dry.." Trase angrily attempted to attack Bruno with a blade formed over his arm but Bruno again dodged the attack and simply just touched the metal formed over Trase's arm. "Metal mage, huh? Easy target for me." Electricity surged through the metal and quickly ravaged Trase's body causing him to yell out in agony until Bruno let go of his arm.
Bruno went back to standing over the man and shook his head at what he saw. "All too easy... Hey Boy! The scraps are all for you!" Bruno placed his attention onto Kyll/Vierra now in order to make sure Lusin would have the time he needed to deal a finishing blow. "Hey foxy lady. How about you entertain me some? I can be a really nice handful if you know what I mean.." A shit eating grin formed over his face as he moved towards her with Lusin moving past him to stand over his brother.
The other thoughts going through Trase's mind were of how much he was about to fail. He couldn't fail right? He had to achieve the goal his mother entrusted him with. He couldn't let it end here but he couldn't move. The electricity that had surged through his body had temporarily paralyzed him as well as did a lot more damage to him due to how he wore a thin sheet of metal over his body as a defensive measure. "I can't... Die... Here.. Lusin... She me.. Us... To fix the world.." He spoke but his words fell on deaf ears as Lusin formed a massive ball of flame into his right hand. The flame grew into a ball the size of a large ball and then condensed down into a pointed mass of energy with the point over the front of his hand. "Trase! There is one way of beating this fate and one way only! I never gave you any power. I only opened up your true potential. Thing is you could not control the full power of your potential in the past. It's different now! You have to release me in order to gain your true power!" Gilgamesh spoke out quickly and also could be heard by anyone else with an aspect.
Lusin raised up his flame covered hand. "Pyrcer Shot...!" Lusin spoke out as tears started to form in his eyes the flames built up more as Lusin gathered more magical energy for the attack. "Vierra, Kyll or whatever you want to go by now! Hurry up and hit Trase with your blade to separate us!" Everything fell onto Vierra/Kyll and on if she would be able to find a way to reach Trase quick enough.
