Caelum was split into many different factions from how it was a internal warring country with leaders thriving for supremacy over the other. Each of these leaders created their organizations under their own name and called them 'Houses' which was just another name for military groups and made them sound less lethal or extreme than simply calling them armies. The Imperium was working on taking over Caelum by placing each of the Houses under their control by any means necessary. This lead to assaults on many of the weaker Houses in a strategic move to gain more supporters in order to take down the stronger Houses.

There was a problem in the Imperium's strategy though. House Casterim, rumored to be the strongest House in Caelum had been able to defeat the Imperium at every attempt in being taken over, even with their increased numbers. No matter how many battles were raged against House Casterim they were able to stand tall in the end with a vast majority of their numbers remaining the same. This put the Imperium into a horrible situation where they were losing members due to their attempts failing but suddenly a group joined the Imperium. A group lead by a man masked in a dark metal mask with a purple shine to it. The man vowed that he could defeat House Casterim and after officially joining the Imperium, set out to do so.



A battle had erupted over the main complex of House Casterim. The rumored strength and ability of the House did not stop them from being confused as to how they had started to be attacked. It was as if multiple enemies had appeared from out of no where to attack them. The enemy numbers were small and were only six different people against hundreds of soldiers of men, including the masked man. The head of the House of Casterim ordered his men to quickly dispose of the enemies in front of them but were seemingly easily dealt with by each of the six enemies in front of them. Each of the six displayed abilities or powers that they were not expecting and were overwhelmed. The masked man broke off from his allies and made his way through those around him and towards the head of House Casterim, only stopping when the three high ranking armored knights who were charged with protecting the House's head managed to cut him off.

"Nuisances..." The masked man mumbled as three swords swung his way forcing him to dodge the attacks swung at him. "For our lord!" One of the knights yelled out as he swung his sword out in a rhythm with his two comrades. The masked man was quick but the combined efforts of the knights managed to get the best of him as one of the knight's blades made contact with his body and slashed across his torso. Sparks flew out from the attack causing each of the knights and the head of the House to look on stunned. "Wha..?!" Before the more vocal knight could finish speaking a spear made of the dark metal that covered the man's face shot out from his chest just nearly missing him. Without talking the masked man used his opportunity to dash forward and swipe his hand out towards another of the knights forcing him to block quickly and finding that the man's claws had been covered in the dark metal he seemed to be able to use. The third knight attempted to move to help his companion but suddenly had a clawed hand carve down his back. The knight gasped out in pain and dropped to one knee where he looked behind him to see that the masked man was behind him somehow but he was also fighting his partner too. "Ho..How!?" The masked man attempted to attack the knight again but his attack was dodged this time.

Both masked men stopped in their attacking and moved next to each other where they both looked at one another. They both smiled and looked back at the confused knights. "Your magic will not beat us mage!" One of the knights yelled out which caused the other two to find confidence in themselves. Each knight then through magic changed their weapons into enhanced versions. One with a large flaming sword, another with a trident that dripped water and the last one with a small sword and shield that gave off a bright light. The two masked men looked at each other and shrugged. "Getting serious? Guess I will too a bit." After he spoke his shadow seemed to rise up from behind him and morphed into two more of him which revealed one of his magic abilities. "God's Doppelganger." The masked men stood in place as his three 'clones' ran towards each of the knights and attempted to attack them.

The knight with the flaming sword raised his weapon above his head and brought it down quickly which sent out a blast of pure flames that collided with the clone and caused it to melt away into magical energy in a poof of a purple light. The water trident wielding knight stabbed his weapon forward which encased the clone into a ball of water which caused the clone to evaporate which showed that something was going on with the water the trident formed. The last knight allowed the clone to strike at him and hit his shield which quickly launched a shockwave back at the clone which blew it into a nearby wall which shattered it.

"Hmm... Interesting..." The masked man spoke and started to move away a bit put had found himself to be suddenly in the middle of the three knights who all lifted up their weapons for an attack. The water trident was used to quickly put the masked man into a ball of water while the flaming sword and the bright sword were used to quickly slash into the ball of water multiple times. The barrage of slashes were stopped by two hands that caught the blades to show the masked man had covered himself in his dark metal which managed to defend enough against the attacks that he was not critically injured. The masked man twirled around while holding the weapons which pulled the two knights around and caused the three of them to bash into one another. "Purgatory." The masked man spoke out as he summoned a long blade made of his dark metal and slashed forward towards the three knights sending out a crescent shockwave. The shield knight jumped into the way and blocked the attack which sent back a massive crescent shockwave at the masked man. The masked man used his new blade to block the stronger attack sent back at him. He managed to stop the attack but his sword was destroyed in the process while some of the power from the attack raged out around him and cut his mask causing the chunk of it around his left eye to be sliced off. A single red eye stared out widely at the three knights. "I guess I'll try then instead of doing what I have been. Its about time anyways." The masked man mumbled to himself and then summoned another sword. This time it was one similar to a katana in its scabbard still. He took up a Iaijutsu stance with the sword held to his side in its scabbard still. "You can reflect attacks, right? I wonder how many of mine you can actually reflect back..." The shielded knight raised up his shield in anticipation of the assault to come. The masked man used his thumb to move the blade up out of the scabbard a bit and then held it in front of him holding the hilt. He quickly moved forward with blinding speed and when close enough released multiple quick slashes that the knights could not keep up with and were covered in cuts. The three knights dropped to the ground defeated from the attack to the masked man who was barely scathed from the battle. The head of the House looked on in amazement from seeing his three strongest men being defeated.

The defeat of his men did not stop the head of the House from fighting though and he quickly took up his own sword. He quickly used a requip magic to place himself into diamond armor and summoned a sword made of diamond. "I am the the strongest leader in all of Caelum! I am Sir Ludius and I will be the man to defeat you!" The House head pointed his sword out towards the masked man and shot out multiple sharp chunks of diamond at him. The masked man used his swordsmanship to repel the attack and send the diamond chunks ricocheting off his blade. The House head used the time the masked man took to deal with his attack to get close to him and swung out his leg to trip up the masked man but was one step behind as his kick was dodged by a well placed front flip. The masked man's sword slapped against the diamond armor of his enemy as he flipped through the air but made no progress at all. "Fool! This is diamond armor and a diamond sword! Nothing will be able to destroy this!" The House head yelled out triumphantly as if he had already won and turned around to use his sword to slash at the masked man. "All you are is a attacker who focuses on his speed and agility! You have no power but even if you did it would not be enough to break my armor or my sword!" The masked man could only block and attempt to dodge the attacks as each came at him. Some of the sword strikes made contact with his body and cut through even the metal armor he preemptively placed over his body. A quick swing of the diamond blade crossed the masked man's face and just barely missed being fatal as he jumped back. His leg was hit in his attempt to move out of the way as well as his mask.

He fell to one knee as his mask fell off from his face revealing that he was a certain person who had been missing for months in Fiore. A person of interest to the Magic Council that Ludius recognized. "You are that Mizune boy the Council is looking for in order to deal with themselves? Will have to tell them sorry for doing it myself but you did involve yourself in my affairs. The affairs of a future ruler of this country!" Ludius rushed forward towards his enemy. "Mizune..? I do not know who you are talking about.." A smile curled up on the face of the man. Darkness then filled the area around both men. "Void Trap.." The darkness did not stop Ludius and he swung his sword through it even though he could not see his target. He only felt the air resist him as he sword moved through it. He turned around and looked around his immediate area to try and find his enemy but was slightly horrified by what he saw. A single glowing red orb floating in front of him. He swung his sword at it but again only felt air. "How many times would I need to hit you in order to be able to break your armor...?" A voice spoke out. "You.. You can't! Its impossible!" A slash from a sword quickly hit the back of Ludius' armor causing him to turn around and slash his sword which again hit nothing. "You know diamonds are carved all the time, right? It takes experts to be able to be a cut such a thing because of the precision it takes. Sometimes it actually takes multiple people to perfectly carve a diamond." The voice came out from all around him it sounded like causing Ludius to turn all over in the darkness looking around. "You can't do it!" Ludius yelled out one last time. "I'll show you then."

Before Ludius could act a single slash from a blade tore through his armor and cut through his torso which also had so much power in it that the darkness surrounding them split and then it dissolved into nothing like air showing all around them a defeated and dying Ludius with the man who lead the assault standing with a bloodied katana over him. "I am Trase now. The name Mizune and Cirven mean nothing to me now. Remember that, if you live from this."

The fighting stopped as the limp body of Ludius was seen by his men which lead to a quick surrender and forced House Casterim under the control of the Imperium. Later the Imperium would come into full control of Caelum but not before using a certain super weapon. A super weapon that interested Trase and his newly named group called Onyx Pinion which joined the Imperium suddenly and quickly gained fame in their work for the House Casterim assault.
