Recently, ELISE, along with the being known as Cirven had gone on a job together to investigate the city of Cyberhaven where some mysterious dissapearences had occured. Originally, she had gone to find somewhere she belonged. Somewhere to prove she wasn't so different as she appeared. Still, even there she felt oddly outcast. Like something was off about her that didn't allow her to 100% fit in. The job had not been a failure though. They had managed to reveal the hidden plans of a former acquaintance of Cirven as well as someone from her own past, a man known as the hierophant. She didn't know exactly how he fitted into her past, but he was something to do with a group known as the Arcanum Majora. A name that rung bells, but the images it cast up in her mind were either blurred or disjointed. It was annoying really. Yet it was not the only annoyance. They had defeated their opponents but many of the experiments created in the Eden Genesis project had escaped. The rune knights were aware of this and thanked them for their help.
However, it was not the reward money or the thanks that had most interested ELISE. She had requested to take several of the defeated mechanical organisms back to the guild for research. The rune knights had taken most of them, but she had been allowed some. As such she now had a rather decent amount of a rather rare metallic alloy. A magically constructed one at that. It was named thaumium and it had rather interesting properties. The first was that providing it had magic power and didn't take too many blows it was possible for it to reconstruct itself like flesh. It wouldn't really make her any more human, but if she could heal like people then maybe people would be more accepting. IT also gave her the idea of perhaps making a more human body. First though she had to work out exactly what thaumium was and how it worked.
For that reason she stood in her purple form known as Charoite. This came with a scepter that was particularly useful because it allows her to scan objects, particularly those of magical origin, and learn how they worked. It still didn't explain how one of her bodies worked though. That one was a mystery far greater than thaumium. However, it would hopefully allow us to analyse this metal and that was what she was doing. Due to its strange composition the analysis was taking a while and she would of course spend time seeing how it responded to certain stimuli. She wanted to learn as much about it as possible. Then perhaps she could create variants of it and adjust her body collections. She glanced along the walls.
Black Diamond, Onyx, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst and others. Many bodies she possessed for many situations. She called it her Hall of Faces, but in truth it was beginning to get a bit crowded and her research into pocket spaces had not been successful. As such she had to store it here. If she could understand thaumium more perhaps she could reduce the number of bodies. For example, ruby and onyx were pretty similar. Combining those two would be useful. IF she could reduce herself down a bit it would be good. However, for now that was not possible.
"Basic Analysis complete." she stated after three hours. "Thaumium is a magically constructed alloy consisting of Eternium and an unknown material. Research suggest if stimulated with the correct magic its form can be altered so it is not limited just to growth." She paused considering an idea that came into her head. "If thaumium can be programmed correctly there is potential to replace all but one body with it. Further study is required, secondary metal would be useful to know. Organic Cirven may have more understanding. Preparing subroutine creation." She paused again her optical sensors flickering various shades. "IF Organic Cirven seen ask him his opinion on the metal after standard greetings. Sub routine writing completed. Activate in depth analysis. Estimated time of completion 43 hours, 32 minutes and 59 seconds."
