The two gave a silent nod to each other almost as if they have planned to work together the entire time. A portal formed in front of the ninja as he quickly moved his hands and formed different symbols. He took in a deep breath and then shot out a large ball of fire into the portal. That portal closed and the ninja took off towards Vierra with, pulling his second blade out from his side so that he was completely ready to deal with anything she threw at him. "Magic destroyer or not, you cannot deal with attacks coming at you from multiple angles." Just before he could close in on the woman though, a collection of ice spikes were thrown between them and cut them off. The ninja stopped suddenly to avoid being hit and locked his eyes onto the person that threw the spikes; The headless body of Trase. "I wonder how you handle multiple attacks..?" The head spoke out from the ground. "You are harder to kill than I thought." Without much more of a thought the ninja charged towards the headless body instead of worrying about Vierra. "Houdini, bring in help. We are outnumbered after all." He called out as he darted forward. Houdini shrugged, not feeling the enemies around them as threats but was not going to fight against the idea. "You might be right. It will make cleaning up here a lot easier. I'll bring them in..." Houdini summoned up another portal, this time in front of Alye. A new enemy came out from the portal in order to deal with the female knight of Eclipse Soul. Houdini then started to deal with Vierra before she could act against any of the others with a barrage of attacks shot at her from his portals. While his new ally came into the battle, the ninja had found his mark with his swords in the headless body by stabbing through its chest with both blades. "Ow.. You know that hurts right?" The head spoke out sounding sarcastic and the body grabbed the ninja by his neck but was quickly behanded with the ninja jumping backward from the body and the fireball he shot out earlier firing onto the body engulfing it and everything around it into an explosion of flames and debris. The ninja gave a nod to Houdini for the help. "Maybe you were less of a threat than I thought." The ninja looked towards the completely destroyed body while the head stared up at him. "Well.. That body is done for. I was just getting used to.." The ninja cut the head in half before it could continue speaking. "Enough of your needless banter!" The head split into two but then suddenly broke into chunks of ice with a dark smoke coming out from it. "Honestly, you should really learn to listen." Trase's voice came out from behind him. The ninja turned around with his blades swinging but only met air with them. "Confused? Maybe you aren't as good as you think you are.." The ninja looked over his shoulder to see his own shadow was in the shape of someone else. "Bingo!" Before the ninja could fully react a large ice spike shot into his back and through his chest. Trase then formed from out of the ninja's shadow and stretched his arms out. "That was a bit easier than I expected. Was harder than I thought to get you open enough with that portal guy over there but my Frost Phantom did the trick. I have been a part of your shadow for awhile now. I used my fake to test you and sorry to say but you didn't pass. I'll give you around a 55. Still an F but oh so close to being more." Trase grinned at his work on the ninja. The ninja ripped the ice chunk from his body and the sound of pain and anguish. The ninja started to fall to the ground allowing Trase to temporarily drop his guard when he suddenly was hit in the chest by a kunai that flew up from the ground at him causing him to gasp out in pain but dodged a sword slash from the ninja aimed at him by jumping away. "I gave up.. Everything.. My name... My family.. My emotions.. My humanity.. Everything.. Just for power.." The ninja stood himself up sluggishly from the ground and crossed both of his blades in pointing to the ground. "I am simply known as The Ninja and with that you will know that I am the one man who will kill you, Trase!" The ninja spoke out almost as if something was triggered inside of him. "Eden Cells? That is a bit annoying.." Trase spoke out as he watched the Ninjas chest being reconstructed through a supernatural healing factor. "You gave up your humanity just for power. Can't say I'm any different but I just embraced a part of me more than another. I didn't become some experiment." The ninja's body had healed completely and with it the veins in his face and all over his body had become more defined showing the effects of the Eden Cells running through him. Foam formed on the sides of his mouth. Grunts of anguish and anger came from the mouth of the ninja now. "Fool..." Trase formed a katana and scabbard of ice and took up a stance with the scabbard held with his left hand at his side with the blade inside of it and his right hand over the hilt. "I'll end everything for you here."

Right Place, Wrong Time

Alye had just enough time to turn around and witness Kyll's... what would you even call it? A transformation? Physically she seemed to look fine but it felt like her magical essence had completely changed. She was even walking and talking differently. Just what did being an Arcane Mage entail...?

The Knight raised her sword and was about to come from the wounded archer once more but she heard the ninja call for reinforcements and turned just in time to see one of his portals close with a strange woman standing in front of her. The female had on thigh high black leggings, brown cargo shorts, tightly wound brown sandals and a plain brown tank top. She seemed utterly normal until Alye noticed the three-spiked gloves sitting snugly on her hands. "Koor? What's this? You called me from lunch to fight some dainty little knight, Houdini? Pathetic!" Alye raised an eyebrow at this. So there were more of them... How many, she couldn't know. This presented a problem. How many waves could the defending force withstand before they began to break? Alye didn't have time for thought however. She watched the woman's muscles flex in her shoulders and she smirked darkly. "Oh whatever, maybe I'll get to have some fun with this one before she dies!" The Knight brought her blade to bear just as the woman disappeared from sight. The rosette scanned her surroundings carefully and had just enough time to swing left and deflect the woman's spiked hand off her shield. Their eyes met but the woman seemed a bit surprised that Alye wasn't shaken by her display of power. Her smirk grew a bit more.

"A lot of fun..."

The Knight and the Brawler continued their high-speed dance until Alye began to sense a pattern in the woman's movements. She seemed to be leading with her right hand which had to be her dominate one but Alye also had to take into account that this woman might be pulling her punches a bit - just testing Alye's own skills. It turned out to be true because Alye had only been gauging her speed and reflexes. She didn't think the woman's strikes could come out stronger. The Brawler appeared on Alye's right - which was her sword hand - and let loose a grizzly left hook that Alye managed to catch with her blade but was sent flying backwards with such force that a trail of smoke followed. The Knight was sent sprawling through a couple of buildings before skidding to a halt in a adjacent plaza. The Brawler wasn't letting up though. She appeared in the air over Alye and proceeded to let loose a hail of punches that Alye was barely able to block with Overture. The woman cackled as she held the Knight in place with her assault. "Kooooor! You are out of your league if all you can do is defend against me!" Alye smirked herself this time. "If you think all I've been doing is defending then you're a bit naive, sweetie." The Brawler struck Alye's shield again and she just so happened to notice the sparks that came off of it as the metal collided. She also noticed how the sparks grew exponentially and turned into a deafening crack of lighting that left her in a smoking pile as Alye jumped back.

The Knight skipped backwards and to a halt. She was breathing hard but kept her eye on the smoking woman. Alye had just enough time to prime her stance again before the woman started laughing from where she laid. "So you actually have some powers under that armor, koo? Good, goooood! That means I can go all out without feeling ashamed!" The woman kicked flipped back onto her feet and pushed some singed brown hair out of her eyes. Alye was worried about the crazed look in the woman's eye. Somewhere behind her she registered what felt like a flare of heat but she couldn't afford to take her eyes off her opponent.

The woman began slowly swaying back in forth, letting her arms dangle loosely at her sides. Alye's blue eyes watched the woman flex her fingers and then bring her arms up in a boxing stance. She began punching the air in front of her endlessly, almost like she was fighting the space around her. It wasn't until she felt the mighty blast of compressed air smack into her shield and send her reeling backwards did Alye realize what the woman had been doing. The Knight crashed through another building and into another street. She quickly got to her feet. If that was how the woman wanted to play then Alye could oblige. Alye swiped her sword to the right and it and her shield as well began to glow gently. "Second Seal: Heavenly Archanon Fans!" The soft glowing intensified into a blinding light as the weapon and shield transformed into two stark white large metal fans with a ornate design fashioned into them. Alye then registered and familiar enormous magical presence to her left. She took her eyes off the hole she had flown through for a second only to have them widen in surprise.

"Master Akryn!"

Ryu folded his arms after his loud declaration, waiting for some kind of response. He looked like quite the patient man... creature... thing... almost going so far as to hum a tune as he looked around. He could sense discharges of magic and energy in several locations, signifying the battles which already were occurring. Meanwhile he himself was waiting for some kind of opponent to arrive to challenge him after he had so openly told all the dark mages that he was going to beat their asses. However, it seemed that most of the dark mages either were busy or didn't feel like answering the call. Still, the dragon spirit decided to wait for a bit longer, laying down on the building and resting his head on his hands as he looked up at the sky, his three tails spread out on the roof. Everything else aside (everything else here including the group of dark mages planning to destroy the city and everyone in it) it was still a pretty nice day. It was a good thing that none of the mages present had gone so far as to warp the weather. That would've annoyed the spirit quite a bit, and a genuinely annoyed Ryu wasn't fun for anyone involved other than maybe Ryu himself. However even this nice weather wasn't going to keep him distracted forever while he waited. Eventually he had to acknowledge that people were too busy and that if he really wanted to help clean up this place he'd actually have to stop being lazy and get to work. Sighing to himself Ryu pushed himself back upright before looking around with one hand guarding his eyes against the sun. "I go through the trouble of accepting their challenge and requesting for them to come and fight me and still I have to act like the social butterfly and seek them out. If I was wondering why they were called the dark mages before no longer do so. Very rude people. Now, let's see... That person is fighting that person... There's a bunch of guys there... Huh. I didn't realize destroying the city include pillaging and raping. I should probably put a stop to that one. I mean, as that one guy said: 'Rape is bad. You shouldn't do rape. Mkay.' Although he'd probably say the same about the pillaging... Which only means there's even more reason for me to go." Hopping off of the building Ryu landed back on the ground, then dashed in the direction of the bad stuff happening. By this point the streets in the vicinity had been cleaned out, mostly because all the civilians had better ideas than to hang around in the open when all this stuff was going on and the dark mages had no real reason to linger if the only person still present was the strange dragon creature which had just blown up the sky and then had promised to smash all their skulls. Dark mages or not, the vast majority of them weren't strong or stupid enough to challenge someone who'd create a giant fireball like that with as only reason to draw attention. Arriving at the scene of the bad stuff happening Ryu came to a halt, tilting his head to the side and staring for a couple of seconds. Only after he'd got a good look did he step forward, grabbing the dark mage in question by the scruff of the neck and picking him up. "You know, this looks more like third date material to me. And for goodness sake, could you at least put some real effort into it? I mean, not saying you should be an expert on this kind of thing, but even on your first try of being an utter bastard I'd expect a better performance than this. I bet if this is the way you've always done it it's no surprise you have to resort to forcing the issue, because I can't imagine any female appreciating your technique, willingly or not." The dark mage in question was completely stumped. For one thing, he had been so absorbed in his acts of heartless self-indulgence that he hadn't noticed Ryu's arrival. He also hadn't seen anything like Ryu before, so that confused him as well. The fact that Ryu took the time to lecture him on HOW he was doing it rather than THAT he was doing it just served to leave him staring blankly at the dragonlike creature, wondering what the hell he could say in response. That is, until Ryu suddenly smashed him against a nearby wall with enough strength to knock him out... and make most of the wall collapse on top of him. Ryu stared at the pile of rubble, then sighed and shook his head. "Kids these days... and kids all days, really. They could at least take what they do seriously. Granted you could argue that the worse the bad guys do the better it is for the good guys, but seeing someone mess about like that it still annoying. Ah well." Turning back to the woman he saw that she was cowering in the corner of the room, desperately trying to cover herself up as she stared at the monstrous thing which had suddenly appeared, lectured her assailant, and then smashed both the assailant and a wall to pieces with each other. Ryu scratched his head, then rolled his eyes before walking up to the woman, crouching and placing a hand on the top of her head. "Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you. Also, good news! You won't have to worry about getting a bastard from that bastard either, although from what I could see of his performance that was unlikely anyway. Actually wouldn't be surprised if he was impotent. The frustrated ones tend to be the most desperate to prove themselves." He stood back up again, turning around and walking away before coming to a halt. "Oh, right, should probably not leave such an appealing target out here for more of those little nuisances to take advantage of. Hold on a moment." Placing his hands together he concentrated, then stabbed all three of his tails into the ground. After several seconds the ground rose up, forming three rough humanoid forms about seven feet tall. Around the three figures plants began to force their way upwards, climbing around their earthen limbs and quickly covering them in moss, vines and other small plants. Once Ryu was done he pulled his tails back and nodded at the three constructs, which nodded back, before looking at the confused and shocked woman. "These three should keep you safe. I'm looking forward to seeing those mages try to wreck these guys. And by try I mean laugh maniacally while throwing their magic only to then scream in fear as they're turned into paste. Well, with that done I'll be going. Be safe." With that Ryu actually left, climbing back onto another rooftop and once again looking around, the three constructs all standing at the ready to smash anybody who came too close to the woman with hostile intentions. Ryu meanwhile folded his arms and frowned, his mouth moving as if he was chewing on something. "You know, I was hoping we were at least dealing with a bunch of experts and skilled opponents who have a plan they want to fulfil, but I'm guessing that any group is going to have a bunch of thugs who are only in it for the instantaneous gratification. Disappointing. I can't go around making constructs for every female in the city though, so maybe I should get serious and start breaking this barrier? Which guys were protecting the barrier again?
