Using a dimensional portal-like spell a man clad in purple and black clothing came into the central train system city of Oshibana suddenly but out of the sight of any others or at least he hoped, on top of the large train station. "We need to find him before they get to do anything to him!" Trase spoke out sternly as he blue and red eyes looked around the area near them. Others came out through the same portal, each being a member of the guild Onyx Pinion. "Scatter out across the city and find him! We can't lose Lucen now! Keep in contact with any details." The entire group knew the situation and did not speak out in any way. They all felt the same way about the situation and basically losing a member of their 'family'. Each member of Onyx Pinion moved off the building and toward a different area of the city while Trase jumped down from the top of the building and used his magic to create a lip of ice for him to slide safely down to the ground.
He landed in front of a group of people but did not take the time to speak to them at all as he moved past them and deeper into the city while his black 'ice slide' dissipated into shards. "Brother... Be alive..." Was all his thoughts were swarmed with as he moved across the city acting a lot more aggressive than usual.
Not too long after the arrival of Onyx Pinion, multiple cloaked individuals suddenly appeared in the sky above the city. They looked to be floating in the sky with some sort of spell. Some people in the city quickly noticed this and looked up at the group and the others who did not notice the floating bunch of people would soon realize they were there as another spell was used to project a sort of screen in the sky for everyone in the city to see. "People of the train city of Oshibana, hear me!" The screen projected out a seemingly older male voice of one of the individuals. "We are the dark guild, Reus Coronam! This city has come completely under our control right under your noses! We plan on decimating this city to show our power and then rebuilding it into our new headquarters! Each of you cannot leave this city due to a barrier covering around the city. You will all have to watch in agony as your home is destroyed by our power!" The group chuckled at the speech the man gave for them. "Do not feel completely helpless though because you can stop this destruction, if you are strong enough that is. Each of the individuals you see here will be a key to the city's destruction! Each member here has a spell cast on them that will cause parts of this city to explode but if they are knocked out or killed in some way then the spell will disperse and that part of the city will be saved. So if you want your precious city to be safe then find them and defeat them. Fight for your life and you could be rewarded! That is if you can get through of other men in the city also..." All of Reus Coronam either laughed or smiled as if they were playing villains in some sort of movie and the screen disappeared along with each of them in the sky. After the speech the city streets erupted into chaos either from the fear from the residents or from the attacking Reus Coronam henchmen.
Trase had watched the spectacle along with the other Onyx Pinion members. He scoffed at the speech given. "They are going to simply make this a completely slaughter of the people who live here and plan to use him for something here!" Before he could continue speaking out loud to himself multiple henchmen from Reus Coronam appeared around him who were disguised as residents and attacked him using fire magic. He was able to dodge the attacks himself but was forced to use his ice to block the flames heading towards some of the residents. "Run!" He yelled out to the residents as he dodged another barrage of flames. One of the henchmen attempted to attack the residents as they ran with a fire ball shot from his mouth but was stopped as his mouth was frozen and the fire ball that was forming exploded in his own face. "Leave them alone..." Trase spoke out and formed a sheathed katana of his black ice and charged at the other henchmen who were overwhelmed by Trase's speed and quickly taken out by the blade he had formed.
After using his magic to freeze each of the unconscious enemies' limbs to the ground or nearby building, he called out to the members of Onyx Pinion through the mental communication they all had. "Deal with any enemies and try to get as many of the residents as you can out of the city. This will become a war zone soon and we don't need them involved. Contact me when you are certain that there are no residents here that cannot fight for themselves. I'm going to look for Lucen." He then moved through the city looking for any possible allies or enemies but he made sure to keep his eyes open for his brother before anything else.

"Hmmm.... How did I get here?"
Ryu scratched his head as he looked around, looking rather confused. However he didn't give the impression of being very worried: his confusion was more of the intrigued form, when you were just minding your own business only to come across something unimportant but nevertheless surprising and unfamiliar. He would never be able to forgot where Girana was, which for him was the only certainty he needed when it came to being able to locate himself. He may get lost, or confused about where he was going, but as long as he knew where he had to go to find Girana all of that was unimportant. So instead of worrying he just looked around, surveying the town spread out around and below him. Of course he wouldn't actually walk in the streets: his appearance wasn't exactly something inconspicuous, and he didn't feel like taking a more mundane appearance. He had spent the vast majority of the last couple of millennia as the spirit accompanying Girana and hiding within her, so now that he was out and moving as his own person he didn't want to immediately go back to taking another appearance just to appease the masses. Still, with him looking like some kind of strange combination of wolf and dragon features attached to a humanoid shape, three wolf tails swaying behind him, it's probably better if he didn't just walk through the streets like your average human.
Looking down at the humans on the streets below the spirit sighed. Girana loved the humans just as much as all living things (well, not exactly true. Even if the dryad loved all living things she still had favourites), but honestly Ryu didn't share that particular sentiment. Not that he hated the humans, but he had trouble seeing them as anything but children who had too much power for their own good. Which wasn't entirely their fault: humans had been created with a short lifespan but a lot of creativity and curiosity, both of which naturally resulted in them always searching for more. However their short lifespan would not allow them to gather all the experience and knowledge they needed to be able to wield the power they had grasped properly. As it was humans had turned selfish, always taking more and more unless they were forcibly stopped by something or one of them was fortunate enough to experience an epiphany. It may be inevitable whenever any species becomes powerful enough, but Ryu still remembered all those times when Girana had been forced to dispose of a group of humans who wouldn't refrain from rampaging and destroying nature recklessly no matter what she tried. It didn't paint the humans in a favourable light, especially since the remaining humans, instead of feeling embarrassed for their wayward kin, would dare to call the dryad a monster for defending nature instead of bowing to their 'right of conquest'. The dragon spirit had left quite a few groups of humans in ruins and ashes for that particular mistake.
Well, enough of that. What it did mean was that where Girana loved humans and wished for them to be as happy and healthy as she wished for all living things Ryu himself had a bit more of a neutral stance. He did not wish ill upon humans simply for being humans, and he wouldn't act biased against them, but if they started trouble he didn't really have the patience to try solving it while also going out of his way to ensure nobody would get hurt in the process. Especially since if the humans were the ones who were the cause of the trouble they couldn't exactly complain if there was a price attached to behaving like that.
It was while Ryu was still looking down at the humans in the streets when he felt a surge of power from above. The spirit narrowed his eyes as he looked up, where a group of cloaked individuals were floating. While the dragon was still idly wondering what they were doing up there one of them spoke, accompanied by the appearance of a floating screen which carried the man's voice throughout the town. The man spoke of a dark guild controlling this town, and how they would destroy the entire town as a display of strength before rebuilding it as their own headquarters. And then he continued to explain how the people in Oshibana would not be able to escape because of a barrier, but at the same time they had made it possible for the destruction of Oshibana to be prevented. Which was rather odd, in Ryu's opinion. Either they weren't very serious, or they legitimately believed themselves to be powerful enough that they would be able to beat aside whatever was thrown at them and send the people of this town even deeper into panic and despair at the realization that all their attempts at survival had failed. It sounded... well, it sounded a lot like the kind of thing someone would do to appear more impressive, only for it to backfire on them.
"You know, I haven't dealt a lot with humans lately. Leafy prefers to stay away from civilization, and honestly I don't care much for it either. However I'm pretty sure this isn't how things usually go in a human settlement."
After the cloaked figures had disappeared Ryu looked down, where the streets had erupted into chaos as the humans were all panicking.
"Definitely not what they're used to. Well, I guess I should see what I can do about this."
As said before, Ryu's stance towards humans was rather neutral. On the other hand, he also didn't approve of some cocky bastards planning to kill a whole bunch of their own kin just to look cool. He might not be as extreme in preserving life as Girana, but Ryu still was in favour of not committing acts of genocide. Stretching and cracking his knuckles the dragon spirit looked around.
"Now, where should I start..."

| Right Place, Wrong Time "As usual, the dark guilds never change..." Electric blue eyes opened to the sight of people running for their lives. They were scattering as far they could but it was already stated that they had nowhere to go. At first the Knight figured that those fools might have been lying, but when she felt the breeze from the outside suddenly stop, she knew it was true. Which meant this was bad. They had no idea of when the town was actually set to detonate nor it the man in charge had been lying and they'd blow the place regardless. The rosette stood with a sigh. She'd been wearing a simple white shirt with tight black pants and sneakers but they disappeared in a flash of light as the woman held her hand to the lightning shaped pendant around her neck. When the light faded, Alye Reyold stood in full battle regalia - causing some people to stop and stare. Alye paid them no mind. Especially since they weren't the only ones to notice.
The woman's eyes narrowed as five men threw off their traveling cloaks to reveal themselves as members of the attacking dark guild. The two closest to her both sent out sickles attached to chains - aiming for her head. The woman easily side-stepped both of them and grabbed the chains. One simple tug brought both the mages flying to Alye's waiting gauntleted fists. They fell with a solid thud. The next to attacked with both fire and air blasts, mixing the two to amplify their power. Alye contemplated just dodging but there will still too many people around to let that happen. She didn't want to waste magic power on these idiots though...
Alye sighed as she reached behind her and slid her ornate blade from it's sheathe. As she quipped it forth and brought it's light upon this world, divine feathers radiated outwards signaling it's emergence. Overture, her blessed blade hummed with power and it only took one swing to slice through the magic assault in her way. Using the smoke from the dissipated fire as a cover, the woman flashed forward and used the blunt side of her blade to knock out the men. As the smoke cleared, Alye became aware of the last member approaching her from behind. "I'll kill you!", he screeched out. The Knight could have easily turned and taken care of the man, but a familiar whooshing sound alerted her to the sound of her guildmate coming back. Alye turned to see the man on the ground and Kyll approaching. She smiled to her friend.
"There you are!"

Vierra walked up to her guildmate and then put a hand on her shoulder as she turned around. "We're not here to solve the issues going on. Last time I got involved in something, I wound up on a drug and having a trippy time trying to remember what it was that happened." She looked around the chaos. Suddenly her eyes thinned. She could sense the familiar aura. She reached into her breast pocket then pulled out a card. "Gilgamesh..." She called out to the card. The card began to glow. Then it spoke to her. Words she could only hear as she was an Arcane Mage. "I feel it too, Vierra. We need to hurry out of here. There is an immense form of danger here if Trase is involved."She looked to Alye. "Onyx Pinion is here," she said aloud. "We need to complete our goal here before Trase knows that I'm now with in reach. Otherwise, we may wind up involved deeper in this..." She turned her eyes around. "Now... Where are you... Magician."~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ On top of a building stood an archer with a rather long bow. His blonde hair flew in the wind as he watched the movie of his guild master brag about a spell that he had put on a few of his guild members. "So we are going to blow our own up in order to get what we want..." He sighed and shrugged. He tilted his hat. "Fine, but let me have a little fun on my last couple of hours alive then." He then held his bow in front of him and then a light knocked itself onto the bow. He then looked around the vicinity. "Who... do I target."Wait... Harry... Do you feel that? The mage stopped and then began to close his eyes. He envisioned in his mind what he was supposed to feel. Then he could see a string in front of him leading into a resedential area of the own. He saw a mage with jet black hair in a bun and she stood with a rosette in armor. "Who is that?" Then he saw two balls of light circling the black haired mage. "What are those?"Harry those are aspects. She has two of them. If you seal them, you can cancel the spell and then be far more powerful than your guild master. Making your wish to take over come true. The mage grinned and then released an arrow of light. Suddenly a portal opened up in front of the arrow and the arrow disappeared through it. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "I feel something else..." VIerra said continuing her conversation. She closed her eyes to make out what she was feeling, but a portal opened up behind the mage and a arrow of yellow light flew through it hitting her square in the back. Vierra shook as she was flat out shocked by an electrical energy that hit her. She fell to the ground and then caught herself on one knee. She then blinked. The portal imeddiately closed. She stood up and dusted herself off. She looked over at Alye with a grim annoyed look. "I hate... electric magic." She said between her teeth. As this was the second time she had run into a mage with electric spells. She then stopped. "Wait a second... That was a portal... That was Arcane energy coming out of that portal...""Houdini is here, Vierra. The Aspect of the Magician has far refined portals than me. Be careful." A voice sounded in Vierra's mind. She stood there amazed at what she was sensing. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "That didn't kill her..." He said. He then formed another arrow. This time it was a ball of light covered in vines. "Let's see how this attracts her attention.
Suddenly another portal opened as he sent the arrow through it. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Vierra stood there as she sensed a rip in the fabric of reality. "I can't sense this fast enough so that---" Vierra couldn't finish her sentence, she was then in front of another portal where an arrow covered in vines came through. The arrow struck her and then vines wrapped around her body as she couldn't move. She fell over on her side. "AYLE! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!" she said with an annoyed glare looking around for the source of the portal.

As the chaos began to unfold within the now sealed off city of Oshibana, the MC was quickly preparing its own response to the sudden threat to the city, by calling upon one of the greatest weapons within their grasp. As the mayhem and violence unfolded upon the streets of the city many eyes would be drawn upwards by a sudden boom, a sound that would precede a massive eruption of flames in the sky. Even through the magical barrier the roar of the flames and the heat could be sensed as they rolled and shifted in the sky, slowly taking the form of an absolutely massive dragons head, with a long, serpentine body, made entirely of fire and roaring mightily into the sky. As the gigantic dragon of flame circled up above, a voice would boom through the air, likely using the same sort of broadcasting magic that the dark guild had used themselves. "Black wizards of Reus Coronam! By the authority granted to me by the magical council I demand an immediate cessation of hostilities against the people of this city and your immediate surrender!" Said the voice, booming with authority across the city. As the voice spoke the dragon would begin descending at high speeds, the massive, roaring beast hurtling down and slamming into the top of the barrier with immense force, shaking the city itself as the barrier struggled to hold the attack at bay. The struggle between the two spells would continue for a while, flames swirling around the top of the dome, roaring mightily, and the shield glowing fiercely as it held. Then something would happen that would likely strike each and every one of the dark wizards with a moment of panic an awe. The magical barrier, set up by the dark guilds strongest mages, holding the massive attack at bay, would seemingly vanish, the pillar of flames suddenly rushing down and crashing into the center of the cities largest park. The barrier would only fade for a few seconds before reappearing again, but it was likely more than enough to cause some fear within the many dark wizards within town. Whoever had arrived was powerful to smash through that shield. As the pillar of flames was cut off again it would begin to fade from the sky, but the damage had already been done. The city park was ablaze, and a crater sat where the flames had met the earth. Out of this crater stepped a tall, scarred man, with white hair, an eye patch, and an impressive set of armor, a golden spear in one hand and a banner in the other, a banner emblazoned with a very well known emblem. "Dark wizards of Reus Coronam! I am Akryn, The BlackHeart! I am the bane of a god and the master of Eclipse Soul. You shall surrender to me and mine now, or by the authority of the magical council, Eclipse Soul will eradicate you this day!" declared the man, his voice booming across the city again, with several members of Eclipse Soul beginning to march out of the crater their guild master had created. Eclipse Soul had arrived, and now the city had a real war on its hands..... //Akryns armor : Akryns Spear:

Trase moved through the city using the shadows near by him to hide inside thanks to his magic. This kept it so that he could surprise most enemies and easily get them into a situation where he could interrogate them on his brother's whereabouts. He managed to find a few more henchmen of Reus Coronam who were about to attack a small family. Trase quickly jumped out from the shadows he was hiding in and froze one of the men completely in black ice just before he was able to attack the family with anything. The other men looked on shocked for a few seconds while Trase locked eyes with them. "You have a choice here. Either I freeze you where you stand or I hunt each of you down." Without hesitating Trase moved towards the other three men. Two of the men smiled and quickly used a combination of fire magic that they sent towards their opponent. Trase simply enveloped the entire attack in black ice and moved through the shadow of the new ice construct, coming out in front of both men who stared on in fear as the air around them became colder and colder until they were completely frozen in the abyss-like ice. The last man attempted to run away in fear but before he could get very far a blast of ice hit his leg and froze it over causing him to trip and fall.
Trase had his hand in the shape of a gun and shot at the man's two arms and other leg blasts of black ice. The blasts froze the man's limbs to the ground, holding him there for what was to come next. "Where is.." Trase stood over the man, glaring a hole through him as if he were nothing more than an insect under his shoe. "..My brother?" The man locked eyes with the blue and red ones that stared directly at him, beckoning for a answer but nothing came out. Trase could tell by the eyes that looked at him that the man didn't know anything. He scoffed as he lifted up his hand with his palm facing the man causing black ice to completely cover the man. "More of them that don't know anything at all..." He spoke out to himself as he turned to the family. "Get out of here. There should be help nearby to get you to safety. Head back the way I came." He gave simple orders and pointed back the way he took to them. He didn't give any of them time to answer as he blended into the shadows again and moved forward.
While he was in the shadows a voice called out over the city near him to Reus Coronam telling them to give up in some sort of fashion similar to that of some super hero in a story from some folk tale. He knew the voice and the guild that he had brought with it. "..Akryn... You idiot. You can't trust the Magic Council like that. Especially with such a quick call.." He thought to himself as he watched the dragon of fire be 'allowed' into the barrier. "..Especially when the entrance is opened wide for you.." He also felt the presence of Gilgamesh and Vierra's magic power in the area which did not sit well with him. Things had gotten much more complicated.
Not too far away from where Akryn and Eclipse Soul had arrived stood a tall man in a lab coat who was surrounded by men in magical armor. "R and D Head, Vonkin! We have started to take some of the civilians to the designated area you requested!" One of the men stood up straight with his hands to his side as he spoke to the man in the lab coat. "Perfect! The plan that one of the leaders of the Magic Council, I, Lanct T. Vonkin have come up with is going just perfectly! We will be covering our tracks as well as dealing with these pests. Especially with our new guests here." A grin formed on Vonkin's face. "Continue to take the people to the designated area. We will need them to play their part later." The armored man nodded and then gave a salute to Vonkin that was common between the Rune Knights of the Magic Council to use to each other and their superiors.
Trase had watched from afar in the shadows where he had to control himself and wait for a opportune time to strike. He knew Vonkin from his past with Cor Torva, his mother's dark guild that was used as a facade by the Magic Council for a sort of population control of mages and to conduct experiments from the shadows. Vonkin was one of the head researchers of Cor Torva. Trase waited enough time to where the men near Vonkin had gotten far enough away and slipped through the shadows as they connected from person to person, building to person, etc until he found himself behind Vonkin. He quickly came out of Vonkin's shadow and created a blade of black ice that he placed under the neck of Vonkin who at first looked down at the dark blade surprised but broke into a grin after. "Oh? Did the defective creation find his way to me already? This is slightly unexpected.." A slight chuckle escaped him after he spoke. "Where is he?" Trase questioned and ignored Vonkin's statement. "Is that how you address the person who helped in your birth? Granted, it did end in you being such a failure..." Trase grit his teeth to the comment and pressed the blade closer to Vonkin's neck but as he did the blade shattered into nothing. Trase couldn't understand what had just happened at all. Vonkin took this advantage and slammed his elbow into Trase's chest causing the two to separate a bit from each other. "Sir!?" One of the Rune Knights spoke out as they heard the scuffle and pointed a ethernano rifle at Trase and fired. Trase used his magic to create an ice shield in an attempt to block the shot but Vonkin had raised his hand out and somehow the shield was broken. Trase moved out of the way of the shot and dashed back into the shadows where he retreated from the scene. The Rune Knight attempted to chase after Trase but was stopped by Vonkin. "Let him go. He'll be back. After all we hold something he wants back and when he comes back I will end the defective life that I helped start."
Trase had gotten himself away from the scene and into a dark alley where he could think of what just happened. His concentration over his darkness spell keeping him in the shadows wore off as he felt the pain of where the blast of ethernano had hit him earlier on his side. Blood dripped from the side of his torso as he reached at the wound and tried to cover it from bleeding more with his ice. He knew he was allowed to escape earlier by Vonkin due to his ability. He needed to figure out what it was in order to deal with the man.
After patching himself up with ice, Trase was surrounded by multiple people from Eclipse Soul on both ends of the alley. "Cirven Mizune! You are a target of Eclipse Soul by Guild Master Akryn! We are here to deal with you!" Each member around Trase took up a fighting stance around him. "Can you give a break to a past member? I am not having the best time in this city at this point." He joked with them but they did not listen and instead readied their spells. Each of them shot out different elemental types. Sand, fire, wind, water, etc. They shot it all at Trase.
From a outside view of the alley all you would see was the entire alley be engulfed in a explosion and then quickly swarmed by black ice with only a single purple haired man making his way out of the alley. "Stay frozen there for a bit. I'm sure someone will bail you out of there at some point, hopefully." Trase spoke out as he left the area and all of the ES members completely frozen. He raised his hand to his ear and spoke out. "Sanguine, I am going to need you to come to my location. Got a bit of a scratch that I can't deal with myself." The blood had completely surrounded the wound he had tried to cover up with ice which had shown that it was more of a problem than he thought.

Ryu was deciding his next move for just a bit longer before he shrugged and jumped off of the building, free-falling before he landed on the ground, using his legs as a spring to jump and roll, dispersing the energy behind his fall. As those who had encountered him before could affirm he didn't exactly need to be worried about falling from any height, but the dragon spirit was feeling like behaving a bit more like your usual kind of creature instead of the strange anomaly he himself was. Besides, some of these genocidal maniacs might be watching him, and if they thought of him as just a strange creature instead of something a bit more threatening than that they would show him more openings down the line. Ryu wasn't some kind of master strategist, but he did have a working brain and liked to at least include some amount of intelligence and cunning in his fights. After all, dragons were supposed to be clever and intelligent. If he didn't honour that he'd have difficulty looking any other dragons in the face.
Speaking of dragons, after Ryu had rolled back upright and looked around he was distracted by the humongous dragon of flames that had appeared above the city. The spirit raised his eyebrows in clear surprise at the display of power and the words that came with it. It hadn't even been five minutes since the dark guild had proclaimed that it would destroy this town as a testament of their strength and then turn it into their headquarters. For the Magic Council to already have sent such a powerful servant to deal with them meant that they were working very fast.
"Huh. I can't say I'm not impressed. Not often I get to see someone with that kind of strength."
Talking to himself the dragon watched as the flame dragon slammed into the barrier that was supposed to separate the city from the outside world. At first it looked like the barrier was going to hold, until the flame dragon broke through... except that Ryu's eyes narrowed and he didn't look very impressed at that. The reason being that he had an easier time than most seeing magic and other forms of energy. With that kind of ability, and the fact that the flame dragon had managed to draw his full attention, he had been able to pick up on the fact that when the flame dragon broke through the barrier the magic powering it seemed to be pulled back rather than overpowered, and the fact that it rushed back to reform the barrier afterwards also made it look to him that the intruder's intrusion wasn't as unwanted as he may have wanted it to be. And if the dark guild who created that barrier let him in on purpose, that meant that they had either anticipated the intruder and planned for him or his appearance wasn't so shocking for them that they felt the need to keep him out. Well, that or maybe they realized that if they let him continue to rage against the barrier he might break it down completely so they preferred letting him in... but Ryu had a bad feeling about this. Cynics don't like the optimistic possibilities very much.
That said, even if the owner of that flame dragon had been let in on purpose it was still quite an impressive display of power... Ryu rubbed his chin as he listened to what followed. Hadn't Vierra mentioned both Akryn himself and the guild Eclipse Soul? He was pretty sure she had, but he could be wrong. Well, either way, it looked like Eclipse Soul was on the side of the people who would rather the city didn't get destroyed, so the spirit wasn't going to get in their way unless they bothered him first. Although he still felt like avoiding anyone of power until he encountered one of those powering the barrier and the destruction spell. Which was tricky, because he could sense that quite a lot of beings of significant power had been trapped inside the barrier. On purpose, or a strange coincidence? Fate did have a tendency to play games.
While pondering this Ryu suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of his head, followed by him being launched. Smashing into the building he just jumped off of with enough force to crack the wall and throw up a dust cloud that hid him from view for several seconds, the dragon spirit had been caught completely off guard because he had been distracted by Akryn's entrance and the questions that stirred in his head after seeing the barrier open up to let the intruder in. As Ryu had managed to forget for just long enough the streets were being combed through by underlings from the dark guild, who had the task and probably also just the permission to wreak havoc. A group of them had noticed Ryu and, after affirming that this strange creature wasn't paying attention, had decided to try and bring it down in one go. For them Ryu was something they had never seen before, but since he had been caught off guard so easily they were now planning to see if they could capture him and somehow keep him from dying in the city's impending destruction so they could sell him off. Forming a half-circle around the spot where Ryu's flight had ended they readied their weapons and magic and waited. The concentrated bolt of psychic force one of them had thrown at him should have been enough to knock him unconscious, but with strange creatures you never knew how exactly they would react. If Ryu were to fight back they'd still have to subdue him.
Ryu himself, meanwhile, was rubbing the back of his head and feeling the urge to groan. That wasn't a pleasant feeling, although the strike at the back of his head actually hurt a lot more than the collision with the building. While the dust cloud was still up he glanced around, seeing that he was being surrounded. It looked like he didn't have the luxury to space out wondering what the dark guild's exact plans are. If it wasn't for him being so damn tough he could already have been put out of the fight and get captured because of that moment of neglect. Wincing the dragon breathed deeply before exhaling and standing up, waiting for the dust to clear before speaking.
"I guess you aren't going to give me time to recover. Well then..."
As if to answer his proclamation one of the mages launched another one of those force bolts. This time the dragon saw it coming and dodged it by falling forward onto his hands and feet, the bolt striking the same spot Ryu had just crashed into. The wall groaned where Ryu hadn't, a clear hole having formed in it and cracks forming a spiderweb around the hole. If that dark mage kept throwing those force bolts all of them might end up buried underneath a collapsing building.
"You first then."
Re-absorbing the wings on his back (no real use in a close quarters fight) the dragon used both his hands and feet to launch himself forward, running on all fours towards the force mage. Said mage launched several other force projectiles, Ryu being forced to slow down his advance as he moved from side to side to evade the attacks. And then he had to fall nearly flat onto the ground to avoid being roasted by a gout of flame from one of the other mages, followed by a rain of icicles from above. These guys might not be the elites of their guild, but they were still mages and showing that they knew how to use their abilities. The dragon had been forced to a near full halt as the mages kept throwing up another obstacle. And then one of them finished an incantation and the spirit was caught by several vines which broke through the now frozen ground and wrapped themselves around him, not managing to pull him against the ground but keeping him from lifting any of his limbs, including his three tails. Growling Ryu tugged at the bindings, but they were surprisingly sturdy.
It was at this point that the force mage finished an even longer incantation, having relied on the others to keep Ryu at a distance. The force mage was the most powerful of the group, which was also why he had been the one to deliver the first strike. Now that the others had kept the strange creature at bay for long enough he had managed to cast the spell which launched a force wave instead of a mere projectile, which would smash their opponent back against the wall and hopefully this time manage to knock him unconscious. While the mages were confident at this point that they could deal with the strange thing in front of them they hadn't neglected to notice the fact that, even though it hadn't been able to advance, it had managed to avoid being hit by any of their attacks. While they were suppressing it that already was enough proof that it was nimble and fast enough that they shouldn't let the fight drag on too long, at risk of showing the creature an opening it could exploit.
As the force wave surged forward towards him Ryu frowned before grinning. The mages on the other hand would all show clear surprise as suddenly the plants that were tying their target down seemed to lose all their strength and let him go, the creature immediately jumping backwards only to dash forwards even faster than before, gathering speed quickly before growling and launching himself directly against the force wave. Because Ryu had been moving on all fours all this time the profile of his body against the force wave was a lot smaller than if he had been running on only his hind legs. The result being that, combined with his absurd speed, the creature actually managed to gather enough force in small enough an area to break through the force wave and keep racing forwards. None of the mages had expected that to happen, so none of them reacted in time, not even the force mage, to do anything but stagger backwards as Ryu closed the distance, jumped up, and delivered a roundhouse kick while airborne with enough force to knock out the force mage and send him flying for several yards before crashing into the ground as a heap, unmoving.
Ryu himself landed on his hind legs, skidding across the ground as he spun around until he was facing the rest of the mages, who were all once again readying themselves for another attempt at bringing this beast down. Now that he was no longer backed up against the wall and the force mage was out for the count Ryu took a stance, legs spread with one clawed foot in front and one behind and his knees bend, one hand at shoulder height and stretched towards the group of mages, hand half-open as if he was expecting them to throw something for him to catch. The other hand was at waist level and kept close, hand forming a fist so if any of the mages got too close he could immediately strike at them.
"That's one. Now, shall we keep going?"
The dragon spirit was grinning, his three tails swaying behind him before making a bend so all three of them were also pointing towards the mages, one above each of Ryu's shoulders while another one stayed at waist level and at Ryu's back, as if to counterbalance the fist that Ryu was keeping ready for any one of the mages that decided to get close.

| Right Place, Wrong Time The rose-colored woman looked a bit worried at Kyll's words. "We're not here to solve the issues going on. Last time I got involved in something, I wound up on a drug and having a trippy time trying to remember what it was that happened." Alye's brow furrowed. "Now you know that I'd never let that happen to you...er...again." The woman could scarcely believe some of the things that Kyll had said happened to her in the time she'd been gone. Every time she did, Alye couldn't help feeling like a terrible friend...
The Knight was about to say something else but she noticed how her guildmate's eyes narrowed. She sensed something. Alye watched as Kyll withdrew one of the Arcana in her possession and seemed to commune with it for a moment. The woman's eyes snapped open and she then relayed to Alye that the guild known as Onyx Pinion was present in the city. The Knight flexed her armored fingers as Kyll proceeded to look around. Was there something else bothering her? Her answer presented itself when a portal erupted to life behind the two and Kyll was shot with a bolt of lightning. Thankfully her guildmate was able to shrug off the damage but Alye was officially unamused. Anyone foolish enough to harm an Ace of Eclipse Soul deserved no less than her blade. Alye reached behind her back and withdrew her holy shield - Coriander - from it's leather strap. No sooner than a few second after Alye had achieved her combat stance, she felt the air around them rip apart as another portal opened. Kyll - who was still sluggish from the electric attack from before - went down as she was entangled in a mass of vines. The portal closed without a sound. Alye knew that she would be assaulted next and with Kyll the way she was, she couldn't have that. As the warrior sprinted over to her guildmate, she felt unused combat instincts kick in. Adrenaline flowed through her veins as she felt the power of Ororo begin to resonate throughout her entire being. She had a purpose, she had a calling, and no two-bit archer was going to take her or Kyll from this Earth before fulfilling it. As Alye slid into a kneel next to Kyll with her shield raised to attention, the feathers on her armor began to shimmer a dark grey color. "Aspect of Air!" Her shield pulsed pure magic power before thick and coiling winds wrapped around Overture. With her blade in hand, the Knight stabbed at the ground in front of her. The air around her heeded her command and a explosion of dust and sand filled the air, masking their position from this archer. Alye looked back at Kyll as she slashed easily through the vines, freeing her. "You can't hit what you can't see!" Still, Alye theorized that this archer - whose senses were being enhanced via a Arcana - could probably sense Kyll's own power and still hit her. That meant that the two would have to work perfectly in sync if they wanted to get through this.
Good thing they were best friends.
Alye helped Kyll to her feet and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "Our friend made a mistake. Because that first arrow was imbued with lightning, I've pinpointed his position. Even if your portals aren't as sophisticated as his, we can still use them to our advantage." In a matter of moments the wind wrapped around Alye's blade suddenly turned into crackling electricity. "Get us into the air, Vierra!"

Vierra locked eyes in the direction. Suddenly she and Alye could hear the ruckus of Trase. She opened a portal in the ground and the two fell through the air. "I need to send a message to Trase." She pulled out a lacrima ball from her pocket and it was shining. It began to flash every time Trase talked. "Sounds like he's got things, sort of... Under control, but with our prideful guild master here... Things are going to be hectic." She began to rub her finger on the lacrima.
Trase, found an aspect. Very busy portal fighting.
She then looked forward and another portal, not her's, had opened. She immediately opened a portal right under her and Alye and then the two found themselves a little lower. The arrow flew above them but into another portal. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "Now now there's plenty where that came from." He said staring at the arrow's route. The arrow flew right in front of Vierra again. However she opened another portal. He suddenly lost track of where she was. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~
"I've had ENOUGH!" said in anger. She looked at Alye hoping she would understand that Vierra left her to deal with the long distance front while Vierra went up close and personal with her opponent. She finally opened a portal behind Harry in hopes that she would be able to lock arms with him. Instead as soon as she came close enough to punch, he was staring at her standing outside another portal holding an arrow knocked. Vierra stopped and stared at him.
"Well... I figured you would do that, Arcane Wizard. Give me those aspects and I'll let you live."
Vierra's eyes opened wide. "These aspects weren't even your's OR MINE to begin with. They belonged to someone else." She ran forward and attempted to go through the portal to chase after him, but instead of jumping through she was sent back flying. She slammed both her feet on the roof of the building that Harry originally stood on. She skidded to a halt barely falling off the building. She glared at the man.
"Oh you didn't know? The only things I allow through my portals are me and whoever and whatever I want. It's part of the bargain of having this..." Harry pulled a glove off his hand to reveal the marking on his hand. It was a Roman Numeral one. Vierra smirked.
"You just gave me a point to aim." She then opened a portal flat on the ground and then reappeared next to Alye. "Aim for his left hand. Just be careful. If he can open portals with his aspect, then he can reflect your magic back at him. We need to disarm the aspect from him." ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ "Interesting... She has more knowledge about us. Harry, I do not wish to be sealed by her without a fight.... Child of the Arcane. Woman who seems to be using her own body to bond with the Realm. It's very dangerous don't you think? I will make a deal with you."
Vierra looked out toward the unheard voice.
"If you beat Harry and me, then you shall have me... Do with me as you will. I will bond with you as you have bonded with your fellow aspect. I will make your portals better, but if you lose, The Hanged Man and The Emperor come with me to further Harry's goals."
Vierra looked at Alye. "Sometimes... I really wish you could hear what these guys are saying, because so far it's been. Oh save my master, he needs you to seal me.... You will follow my wishes and complete my goals..." She pursed her lips. "So you're saying, you would rather futher Pantu's goals if you're with me?"
"I'm saying that I will further YOUR goals. I know you seek out our master. After all, we separated from him and you were caught in the midst and were shattered as well. We shattered you and the Shadow Savior."
Vierra tilted her head and then gave a smile. "Counter offer... If I win, you come to me. You're mine until I find your true master, that means you bond with me, and no one else until it's time for you to bond to your original owner. Along with that, if I win... I want a complete memory. Not just a bit and a piece. I want some actual meat and bones here... and if I lose, which I won't.... You may have Pantu and Gilgamesh." She looked down at Harry. "So you ready to say goodbye to your hand?"

Surprisingly, despite Vierras concerns, Akryns presence was not making things more hectic. At least, not for very long. As the Eclipse Soul forces began to spread out from their crater they would begin to clash with, and subsequently crush, the opposing guild, forcing them away from the park where they had landed. Soon enough Akryn and his forces had established a sizeable perimeter. Soon enough Akryn had his forces organized and had advance units moving out from his position, working to crush enemy focal points and rescue the citizens of the city, bringing them and any wizards or soldiers they could find back to the command post. Akryn himself slowly paced back and forth through the camp, observing things as they played out. He currently had two of his strongest lieutenants, as well as himself, guarding the main camp and its refugees, with three main teams, each headed by other powerful lieutenants, striking out in various directions as the main assault force against the dark guild, as well as his own two, personal, body guards working at a more stealthy approach, moving quietly through the shadows and working very efficiently at their assassin work, taking down any targets they thought to hold some form of command. So far things had gone according to plan and everything was running smoothly. Perhaps a bit too smoothly....
"Croc, Blair! Tighten our perimeter defenses, set extra watch! Something doesn't seem right, and I will not be caught off guard!" Akryn commanded, his voice booming to them over the noise of the assembled people. He would then turn to one of the lower ranked mages in the area, this one working over a holographic projection of the city. "Talk to me. How goes the advance?"
"It is going well sir, our forces have managed to so far squash any real challenges. There was an incident not long ago where one of our advance units ran into Trase and all of them were subsequently dropped. It is unclear at this time whether or not he is involved with the dark guild in play however and so Jack ordered our units to avoid any further contact with him unless the situation and evidence dictate a change. We have also received unverified reports of both Vierra and Alye within the city walls, as well as a possible magic council presence outside of our own which seems to be rounding up civilians. So far no one has managed to locate one of the lieutenants who are helping to maintain the barrier though." The young woman stated before turning to Akryn with a frown. "Sir, I have to ask. You were able to punch through the barrier and bring us all inside. The barrier may have reformed, but you did not seem to be overly strained by the initial effort. Why are we spending so much time looking for these lieutenants and fighting this battle? Couldn't you just blow the barrier away if you used your full power?" She asked with a puzzled frown, several others who were near by also turning a bit to hear their guild masters answer.
Akryn would straighten a bit at the question, frowning deeply as he considered his answer. "I did not punch through the barrier. I had in fact been considering having to blink through instead as I did not believe I would have been able to get through with that initial assault. The barrier was removed for us, though by whom and for what reason I do not yet know. I may yet be able to remove the barrier through sheer power, that is yet to be seen or tested, but I did not do it before. That fact concerns me, greatly, and it is what holds me in check now. Were I to remove the barrier it would likely leave me drained and vulnerable, and that is not a state that would benefit anyone with so many variables involved. That is why we are taking this longer approach to victory, because the shorter route may prove to hold no victory at all. Remember that." He admitted to the woman, deciding to take the opportunity to explain his reasoning and perhaps give the woman something to think about. Who knew, someday this young woman or one of those listening may yet be guild master and replace him, and the one eyed giant felt that he should begin now to set an example of openness and honesty with his guild.
"Call back Yoruichi to bolster our defenses, and tell Jack and Tsubaki to rendezvous with Zephyr. I want the three of them to push through to here." He ordered, pointing to one of the cities cathedrals, this one located near the center. "If I were an ego driven sociopath with a small army to command and a point to prove that is a very likely place position that I would take. I am going to check these reports of Vierra and ALye, and if it is them then I will likely take them with me to the mayors mansion, another likely command point. Tatsumaki and her forces are to continue on search and rescue ops, her telekinesis makes her ideal for the task. Keep me informed of any developments, and remember tbat Blair is in charge here in my absence." Akryn ordered before turning away and heading into the city, his cape billowing behind him and his spear gleaming in the light. The guild master of Eclipse was about to personally take the field.

The Onyx Pinion members, Sorie, Sanguine, Nakiya and Niust had met up with their leader while Sanguine, the group's medic and blood mage used his magic to heal the wound Trase had sustained. Sanguine raised his sleeve up on his right arm and cut his wrist and quickly lines of blood came from the new wound then found its way to the wound on Trase's side. Trase slightly winced from the blood coming in contact with the wound. " How many people did you manage to save out there?" Trase spoke out to the group as he was being treated. " We saved a good amount of the people but suddenly the MC and ES showed up and started to do the same but something was different about it." Sorie spoke out for the rest of the group. " The MC members were acting strange with how they were escorting the people out and even fought against us as we tried to peacefully give over the people we had not been able to teleport outside of the barrier yet. ES on the other hand were treating the civilians like they should be and saved them. They even have a set up in the center of the city where they have gained control of the area and are protecting it and the people there." " Almost done, boss. Next time by the way, don't go jumping into things alone unless you have no choice. Would throw us into chaos if you were too much of an idiot to remember that you have a force to be reckoned with in a handful of people and you just go out and die instead of using them." Sanguine spoke out after Sorie. The blood then stopped and swirled back into Sanguine's wound that quickly healed up. He pulled his sleeve back down and then dug into his coat pocket and pulled out a orange juice packet which he then started to drink. Trase placed his hand on the now healed area of his body. " Doubt I will ever get used to that..." He mumbled to himself and looked over the four people with around him. " Sorry about doing that. I just want to find Lucen before we lose him. They are planning something here. Something that we either stop of have to deal with and I am not the type to like dealing with the unexpected on top of more unexpected. Keep your eyes open for anything weird but stop saving the civilians. Let ES deal with that. Keep an eye on the MC when they take people and keep me updated on what is going on. Do not fight unless you have to." The four members nodded to the order. " Before you all go, did Kyle or Esart show up yet?" Sorie sighed to the question. " Well Kyle is probably still of on his quote off quote, mission. While Esart is here but didn't show up to your call. You know how that guy is. He tends to do what he wants. By the way, Trase..." Sorie looked into the eyes of her guildmaster. " We will save him." Trase only nodded and then waved out his hand which quickly prompted each member of Onyx Pinion to dash off in their own ways through the city. Sorie went through one of her dimensional portals, Sanguine simply ran off, Nakiya formed some type of dragonic wings on her back and flew into the air while Niust used his magic to reflect light so that he were invisible and ran off like Sanguine. Trase then slowly fell backwards into his own shadow that had formed with the nearby shadow of the wall. He used the shadows to quickly travel around from his position but before he could go far enough suddenly multiple kunai-like blade flew towards him causing him to quickly stop and jump out of the shadows he was in in order to dodge all of the kunai. Multiple more kunai flew into the area completely covering it and causing a dust cloud of destruction to form in the area. Trase's quick thinking had him form up a block of ice around him to avoid being hit. The ice then slowly broke apart and fell to the ground with Trase behind it. He looked around the area but could not find any sign of anyone or anything until another kunai came flying at him. He quickly formed a blade of his dark ice and deflected the kunai away but as he did so multiple more came flying towards him. He jumped back to dodge those but more came towards him forcing him to deflect them and dodge them more as he moved back. The barrage of kunai that were being deflected all had covered the area around Trase but he had shown no sign of tiring out anytime soon. His past training required him to do such a thing a lot so it was only natural. Trase deflected more kunai and then jumped into the air where he used his power to form an ice platform to jump off of and away from where the kunai were being thrown at him. This caused the kunai to stop but while Trase was in the air he managed to notice that the kunai looked different from other ones he had seen. Each of the kunai then started to crack and quickly each blew up into a barrage a shrapnel. A barrage that completely swept over the area and caused more damage to it. Before the shrapnel could reach him, Trase managed to form a thick block of ice around himself to take the barrage of metal. The dark ice shell landed on the ground as the shrapnel continued to explode all around it. The barrage ended in a cloud of dust and the buildings around the continuous attacks all crumbled to the ground from the damage. Trase emerged from his ice shielding and readied himself for some sort of attack but nothing of the sort came this time. " Did not think you could dodge all of that at all but color me surprised." A calm voice spoke out from behind Trase who quickly turned around and swung a dark ice covered arm out. The arm was blocked by a blade but everything a few meters in front of its arc was left cut through. Trase locked eyes with a man dressed in a ninja garb. " Quick reactions too, huh?" The two men stayed in a deadlock. " I'm guessing you are one of the people we need to kill in the city, right? Don't think someone as strong as you are would be here for shits and giggles." The ninja chuckled. " Reading a ninja that easily? More surprises." The ninja used his strength to push Trase's arm away and slammed his foot across his head which sent him flying into the nearby rubble. Trase was quickly back up and at the ninja with attacks with a dark ice formed katana forcing the ninja to go on the defensive. The ninja blocked and deflected attack after attack until Trase found an opening and used his own attack as a way to deflect the ninja's blade and landed his own kick across his opponent's jaw. The ninja was sent spinning in the air into the nearby debris. He grabbed his jaw and even though his mouth was covered Trase could tell there was a smile on his face. " This might actually be a challenge for once.... Unlike that one over there..." The ninja pointed to some of the debris near Trase where a beaten and battered Lucen laid in it. Trase's eyes widened at the sight and he lost his focus where the ninja took complete advantage of the situation and closed the gap between them. " You idiot! Never let your eyes off of your opponent!" The sight of Lucen disappeared into the air and the ninja swung his blade at Trase. The blade slashed down across Trase causing him to grunt out from the pain and impact as well as his katana construct breaking into pieces. The ninja followed up his attack with another slash that had the same effect as the last. No blood dripped from Trase at all but ice chunks fell from his body. The ninja had caught onto this and reacted with a strong kick again that this time sent Trase flying through the debris and through a building where he landed in the area near a person he was familiar with. The recent amnesia victim, Kyll Vie who was now going by the name Vierra. There was still around twenty feet between them. Trase was still in a state of shock as he stood up from the attacks. He did not form the ice over his body earlier. It was something done completely on instinct. His mind was completely stuck on what would happen if Lucen died. If his last family member were dead. He looked towards Kyll quickly with wide red eyes showing his one usual blue eye had shifted to a blue color. The ninja came onto the scene to see his opponent, who still was having ice chunks fall from him and the others around him. " This one is mine. You deal with your two!" He yelled out to his partner from across the area. The ninja swung down his weapon for another attack but felt his arm start to freeze over and instead jumped away from his enemy. " I am yours you said? No... You are mine." Trase put his arm out towards the ninja and caused the ice over his arm to spread out over his entire body until there was nothing left but a block of black ice with the ninja inside. " You lost the second you thought that I was a pushover." Trase turned to his opponent and was about to speak out to Kyll/Vierra when the ice shattered and a blade swung across his neck which sent his head rolling onto the ground. Trase's body fell to the ground next to his head as blood trickled out of it. " You were overconfident, not I."

As the situation in the rest of the city developed Ryu was still having a stand-off with the five remaining mages in front of him. Or rather, the mages seemed to be somewhat nonplussed at their opponent and thus waited for a while before actually reacting to him. They had found some strange creature and had tried to knock it out, but instead it had fought back and had somehow actually managed to survive their combination and knock out one of their strongest members. The biggest question being, how had it escaped from the roots that had wrapped themselves around its legs to keep it from moving? The mage responsible for that particular spell couldn't really figure out what had happened. The best he could say was that the roots had just... let go of the strange creature. Which didn't make sense. It wasn't like those plants he had summoned had a mind of their own that could decide to move against his wishes. On the other hand just refusing to admit that what had happened had actually happened wouldn't help him. They had all seen it, so they would have to admit that it had happened and find a way to deal with it. Which wasn't the biggest of problems... If the roots refused to keep the creature in place the mage with the plant magic could still use them as more direct weapons, or provide magic to the other four if for some reason all plant magic had a strange interaction with the creature.
As for the creature, it had assumed some kind of martial stance, which indicated it actually had plenty of intelligence and skill instead of just being some beast, and was openly asking them to keep attacking it. The puzzling thing being that it had taken a martial stance which looked purely defensive against another melee fighter. Looking at the way that the feet were planted and how it was positioning its arms and tails it was a stance used to wait for the opponent to attack, then react and counter-attack. While that may be a valid tactic against a melee fighter... Against a group of mages who were coordinating and casting powerful spells it only made him a sitting duck, especially since its stance allowed for good movement forwards and backwards but little side to side. The mages looked at each other to decide whether to assume that the creature was just being stupid or had some kind of plan. In the end the wordless agreement came: regardless of what the creature's plan might be, there was little reason for them to come closer.
As such three of the mages began to chant while the other two moved in front to protect them, should the creature abandon its stance and press the attack. However the creature didn't move. It was still grinning, still clearly waiting for them to come and attack it. Whatever its plan was, they couldn't fathom acting like a sitting duck being a good idea against a group of mages who were being careful...
Ryu grinned as he saw that the mages were confused for a moment before they began to cast their spells. The two which weren't chanting were guarding, which meant that he could theoretically rush forward and try to hit the three chanters before their spells finished. However he wanted to see what kind of tactic they had in store for him before he'd disable them and move on.
The first spell finished and the ground behind Ryu began to tremble. The dragon spirit glanced back to see a wall of plants rise up, wide enough to fill the street and tall enough to reach the rooftops. The wall was made out of large vines covered in thorns which intertwined and combined. They wanted to keep him from running away as the two others finished their spells, but it looked like they no longer felt like trying to use plant magic which would affect him directly. Which, to be fair, was completely sensible, seeing what he had done the last time they tried to use plant magic on him.
Then the second spell finished along with the third spell, and the spirit suddenly had to deal with a large blast of fire accompanied by a horizontal rain of icicles. Which somehow were unaffected by the flames. The dragon's grin became wider at that. That was actually interesting. Had the two mages synchronized their magic, or had the one who created the icicles managed to make them immune to the effects of the flames? Either way, it did increase the danger level quite a bit. If they had first launched one spell and then the other he could just have dealt with them one by one, but now...
"Well, guess I'll kick it up a notch."
With that Ryu suddenly jumped up, spun in the air, and when he landed punched the ground just before the fire swallowed him and the ice spikes struck him at high speed.
The five mages kept up their guard even as they saw their combined assault hit. The creature had surprised them once before, they would have to stay wary until they were sure it had actually been brought down. In fact, it had surprised them twice already. It had seemingly remained unaffected by a blow which should have knocked it out, and it had been able to overpower their original combination and knock out one of their allies. So far it had only displayed high physical prowess, but even so... The three mages in the back began to chant new spells in preparation while the two in front stood at the ready to react in case the creature counter-attacked.
Which was a good thing. Reacting quickly the two guarding mages quickly dashed to the sides, as from the ground two pillars of earth shot out at very sharp diagonal angles towards the three mages who were casting their big spells. The one on the left formed a barrier which resonated once the pillar hit it, rippling before the entire pillar crumbled and fell apart. The one on the right formed countless small sharp forcefields which began to spin, combined turning into a grinder which tore the earth pillar apart as it flew towards the group of mages. The three mages which were chanting didn't stop, trusting the two defensive mages to do their jobs.
Which... was not as good a thing. The entire group would have about a second to feel a rumble before the two pillars from the side revealed themselves to merely be a distraction. Another pillar, large enough to hit the entire group, shot up straight from the ground below, throwing all five the mages high into the air.
Meanwhile the flames died out, revealing a Ryu who seemed to have adopted some kind of earthen layer, still charred from the flames and with fragments of shattered ice embedded in it. Ryu was also in a new pose, where he was squatting and had both of his hands firmly planted into the ground, as if he had slammed them in place. With a loud cracking the layer of earth broke apart while the dragon spirit stood up, shielding his eyes from the sun with a hand as he looked at the now airborne mages, surprisingly high up.
"And now to send a message..."
Bending his knees he knelt and picked up five small rocks before standing up again, bringing his arm back and narrowing his eyes as he took aim. When the mages hit the apex of their flight he threw the five rocks, which launched from his hand as if arrows shot from a bow, trailing smoke behind them.
The five mages meanwhile had been trying to think of a way to deal with their new situation. The mage who could create reflective barriers would be able to keep their bones from breaking when they landed, but as long as they were airborne they were exposed and would be unable to dodge attacks. The mage who could create countless tiny sharp forcefields had been preparing to interrupt and destroy any projectiles when five rocks shot up at a ridiculous speed, from their perspective arriving in an instant. Unaware that such a fast attack was coming all five the rocks hit their mark, each smashing into the head of one of the mages and knocking them out cold.
Ryu meanwhile grinned widely as he spread his arms wide, then slammed the palms of his hands together.
"Boom."
With a roar as if from a giant dragon the five rocks all exploded, together forming a giant conflagration high up in the sky with enough force to create a shockwave, and a sonic boom which reached all the corners of the city. A true display of fireworks and excessive firepower, which seemed to serve no other purpose than to draw attention and give five mages a lot flashier an execution than necessary.
The sounds that accompanied the explosion had barely faded away when a large portion of the city would be able to hear another, this time a voice. A very, very loud voice, coming from a strange creature with three tails, claws, green scales and orange fur, which was standing on one of the roofs underneath the dying explosion and apparently didn't know the meaning of the term subtlety.
"ATTENTION LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT SOME OF YOU ARE TRYING TO BLOW THIS PLACE UP AND THAT TO STOP THAT YOU'LL HAVE TO BE BEATEN UP! NATURALLY I CAN'T DO ANYTHING BUT ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO SMASHING EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOUR SKULLS IN BEFORE THE DAY IS DONE! NOW, LET THE GAMES BEGIN!"
Ryu cracked his knuckles as his grin was even wider than before. Others might panic, others might feel pressured under the impending doom. For the dragon spirit, however, the games had just really begun. He was always looking after Girana and keeping her safe, but now he could go and have fun for himself.
"Now, who is the first contender..."

| Right Place, Wrong Time Alye's muscles were tense with adrenaline. She just had the time to register the sound of an explosion and the familiar chill of some form of ice magic before she felt the earth under her turn ethereal. Not a second later, her and Kyll were falling through the air high above the city. Alye was thankful for having been used to flight because that sudden jolt would have caused any regular person to spill their guts. Alye left Kyll to her message while she brought the archer back into her sights. She watched him notch another arrow and fire it. It blinked out of view but Kyll seemed to be able to sense it before even Alye could and open another portal to dodge it. They blinked into existence a bit lower than where they were before. For a moment Alye thought that they had out-maneuvered the archer but she turned her head to see the same arrow from before leaving a portal only twenty feet away. Alye saw Kyll's face flash in anger. The Knight knew what that meant. Her friend was about to do something reckless. She smiled.
Kyll is fun when she's reckless.
The Knight raised Overture and braced for impact. The arrow caught in the middle of her shield and it jerked Alye back, pushing her away from the scene before exploding into what turned out to be a small house-sized encasement of ice. The frozen boulder smashed into the cobblestone below, throwing up a slight dust cloud. Inside, the Knight was smiling. Her glossed lips sparkled a bit in the jagged sunlight before she flexed her shoulders and felt the boulder crack. She chuckled a bit. "If I let some flimsy ice like this stop me, Reiki would never forgive me!" The woman felt strength flood her veins and with a mighty push, the ice around her exploded into harmless chunks. The Knight got to her feet and her eyes locked onto the archer. "Now I'm angry. You dare attack me with that measly excuse for ice magic? My husband is the King of the Ice Dragons. You'll have to do better." Alye gripped her sword tightly. Kyll reappeared and confirmed her suspicion. He was controlling his aspect with his left hand. All Alye had to do was handle him now. Kyll engaged the enemy and his aspect in conversation which gave Alye ample time to do what she did best.
Now one might ask how you can hit someone that can teleport at the drop of a hat. The answer is simple. You do it quickly. While the archer was distracted, Alye stood there with her sword arm ready. Electricity hummed in the air around Alye as she concentrated on the man's left hand. As she felt the lightning in the air around them, she coalesced it into a invisible cocoon. The area surrounding them suddenly became statically charged to an extreme point but Alye made sure to keep it's effects ambient. This control over the elements was so much more refined than anything she could achieve before. When she was a Slayer she could only control electricity. Now? Now she could become it.
Kyll gave her the cue and Alye became a blur. The archer probably didn't even know what had happened until he saw a stump where his left hand used to be. The Knight had propelled herself forward with the speed of a lightning bolt, using electromagnetism on her armor to push herself even faster. Her lightning-infused blade cut clean through flesh and bone, skewering the hand from it's owner and even cauterizing the wound with the sheer heat of the strike. Alye smacked the hand back towards Kyll before she dismissed the field of electricity around them and stood over the archer - who was on his knees - with her sword planted firmly against his throat. Alye gave him a look that could chill the air. "I'd sit still if I were you. Or...what was it you said before? There's plenty more where that came from..."

Vierra stood still as Houdini didn't even get an acceptance in. The ninja decapitated what looked to be Trase right in front of her. Her eyes opened wide as she began to feel a burning sensation in her hidden blade. She put a gloved hand over to the buckles to try and take it off of her, but it seemed like it clawwed into her skin. "Pantu... What's happening?" She suddenly felt a burning sensation on her chest as she began to claw at her jacket. She finally found the source of the burning. She threw The Emperor out of her pocket. However instead of falling to the ground, it floated in midair. She then heard a screech in her ears. She put her hands on her head. "Pantu, make it stop."
Trase... Trase... Trase... Trase... Trase... Trase... It repeated over and over. Then suddenly it flew and bonded with her arcane weapon. Trase is supposed to live... You killed Trase... I will kill everyone who killed Trase.
"Oh?" Harry looked at Alye who rushed him. "It seems you cut off my hand... or..." Alye could feel a tap on her shoulder. There was a small portal opened behind her. He pulled his hand back out and then jumped through a portal. "Good luck with singly taking me out. You're too predictable."
Meanwhile, Vierra stood there unable to move her body as The Emperor's aura began to surround her. "Gilgamesh... control yourself..." She said. Suddenly she felt a pressure on her head knock her back and sent her floating in the air. "Gilgamesh... stop... You need to get a hold of yourself..." She said. The pressure flew out across the town and up the barrier. Pouring out like a familiar mage that everyone in Eclipse Soul knew. It was so dense one would have to cut through the air just to walk. Figuratively speaking. "Gilgamesh... I can't..." Suddenly she forced her eyes shut. It seemed like her body lost its consciousness. She looked around to see where she was, but it was deffinetely not Oshibana. The world around was twisted and in chaos.... She was in the arcane realm. She looked forward. There he was the hooded man. She then looked down at her hands. He held a sword in his hands and then charged at her. She moved aside and tilted her head.
"Master... What is the big idea?"
"As part of your training you will learn to understand that all of my arcana have an inverted mode. This is the Emperor, he makes a sword for me to cut through anything, but when he loses control, he is inverted."
The man cut Vierra, but she looked down and saw no wound, but she attempted a spell. The spell was negated completely.
"When the Emperor is inverted, he will cut spells and magic. He can silence an enemy, but getting him that way is a hard and dangerous road. As his inverted meaning is the loss of control."
On the outside Vierra's bracer transformed into a sword. She held onto it and then looked toward the ninja. Her eyes went from green to orange and the smil on her face was different. "You should be graced by a channeling Arcane Mage such as Vierra. It allows me to come forward and speak to you directly." She walked up to the ninja and kept herself on guard.
"I thought I was your opponent, Arcane User." He sent an arrow straight through a portal right at Vierra, but this time instead of being hit by the arrow, she sliced through the portal nullifying any attack. She looked over at the mage. "You can't stop me. You both are dead. You killed Trase."
Vierra's spirit still stuck in the between memories and world continued to look for the hooded man. Where is he... He came as fast as he left... What is Gilgamesh thinking... This can't be good for my body...
Vierra's physical body held the sword in her hands and then gave a smirk. "It's been a while since I cut through magic. You do know what happens if I destroy your magic?" The ninja shook his head. "Then you will find out..." She then charged at the ninja attempting to send a fatal blow with the inverted sword of the emperor.

As the various battles were waged across the city Akryn made certain to draw as much attention to himself as he possibly could, an almost perfect invitation for any up and coming crime types to come and try and claim his head. Many accepted this offer and tried for his head, thinking they possessed the skill to take down the man who was striding so boldly through the city. Many tried indeed. And many fell. Bodies lie piled in his wake, and his battle was a sight to behold. The massive man smashed his arm against the face of one unfortunate crook with enough power to spin the man in the air, never moving from his location. While he was still in the air Akryns fist would swing back and down, colliding with the mans gut and sending him crashing into the dirt, leaving a small crater before Akryn would dart forward again, leaving a small, glowing trail behind him as he suddenly appeared between two other dark wizards as they prepared their spells, his large hands easily grasping their faces, using their heads as hand holds to lift them up, slam them together with bone cracking force, and then throwing them away again to either side, sending them crashing through two different buildings before he was off again. Even as Akryn raced around the battle field, decimating any enemy forces he came in contact with, his large golden spear stayed near by, whipping, flipping, and spinning around him, working as a perimeter and smashing or stabbing down anyone who got too close with exceptional brutality.
Nearly three dozen dark wizards had fallen to Akryn within mere minutes, and he was showing no sign of slowing down as he made his way towards the most powerful source of magic he could sense upon the field. Such a display of prowess did not go unnoticed however, and as Akryn neared the source of power he was forced to halt his procession, suddenly leaping backwards, the glowing trail following him again, as he called his spear back to him, transforming it in midair into a large, golden shield. The large shield was caught and raised just in time too, as a sudden and massive blast of green flames erupted from a building in front of the guild master, engulfing the street and completely sheering off the fronts of many buildings, even leaving shallow, blackened craters along the street and on either side of the shield. Once the stream of flames ended Akryns shield was steaming and glowing a brilliant orange, a testament to the heat of the flames. Slowly and cautiously Akryn would peer around the shield with his one eye, inspecting the tall, shapely woman in front of him. Tight, brown, leather pants with the sides ripped away, held in place by tied string along its length, a pair of red sandals, a leather halter top with red accents along the edges, red vambraces, long, crimson hair, and the cheeks ripped away on either side....
"Tatiana, darling, its been too long. When was it last, Westport in Joya?" Akryn would ask with a smirk, rising from behind his shield and banishing the weapon back to its home. It wouldn't survive a second blast and he was a bit attached to the old thing after all.
"It was Durmstruug, in the dwarven lands. I remember. Its where you ripped away my face, Kracovut!" The fire witch hissed, spittle leaking from her mangled face, her hand gesturing to the garish wounds. "Westport is where you took my sister from me! Though I suppose I can not ask you to remember what savage behaviors you perpetrated where! Beasts like you do not care after all!" She screeched, green flames engulfing her hands.
Akryn slowly began to walk to the right, his eye locked on the woman in front of him. "Oh please, your sisters death was a result of her own carelessness and you know it. I merely.....helped the situation along." He taunted, watching for an opening. "So, tell me, how did you end up mixed with this bunch? Last I knew you were on your way to Bellum with the remnant of Under Lord. How many of your old friends came along then? I do so love reunions." He said, a wicked smile beginning to creep over his face, twisting his expression into a malevolent appearance as a soft, golden glow came over his hand. "I have so many questions I couldn't get answered last time. Think I can make your tongue move this time?"
