Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone,
So to make Rune Knights and Magic Council more interactive with everyone, what we want to introduce to everyone are consequences. Here's the thing though, we have to screen through things. This is how we are going to do this.
1. If you are recognized as a well known member of a legal guild, you will have some major influences with the people around you as well. Which means that the MC will place your character at a higher standard than most.
2. If you are an infamous dark mage and you're going around pillaging the lands, the MC will be looking for you regardless.
3. If you are an independent mage, an unknown guild mage, or unknown dark mage you will be investigated for clues. Until then, enjoy not being known.
What would cause an investigation or interview? Easy, anything that causes some major issues with the NPCs or causes major destruction to the towns of Fiore. Mind you this is just Fiore. The rest of the countries around have their own governments. Examples or reasons the MC would get involved with you:
1. Critical Loss of Life. Murdering an entire village of people or multitudes of people. Assassinations of important figures.
2. Critical Property Damage: Girana's Tree in Hargeon is a prime example.
3. Corrupt Political Ways. If one of the council is stupid and does something in front of a justice crazy member. There will be questioning amongst them.
This is how the notifications work. The MC has a special account made purely to pm everyone of what JUST HAPPENED and what clues have already been laid out for them. If the MC already knows who was involved be prepared for a thread for questioning. Anyone involved will be PMed and brought into a thread started by a MC member. This is story based so there are ways out of things based on what is said and done. Also this is not such a mandatory thing as it is just something more for fun on site and to make the stories we all have more of an impact on site than just with ourselves.
Independent Mages: Famous Independent Mages are few and far between. You will be questioned. Unknown ones will undergo an investigation.
Legal Guild Mages: Well known guild mages who do something illegal will be questioned. If there is an issue, they will be taken to Era for a tribunal. Guild Masters will have to be present. The mages who are going through tribunal will have to be put into a holding area until their trial.
Dark Mages: Infamy leads to prison until tribunal.
So as far as what happens with "fining" we don't have a monetary system in place, but just "pay up." If your wanting to develop a guild from the ground up and be flat broke, role play it out. There's nothing wrong with that.
