Name: Akryn Motomiji
Gender: Male
Race: Half Human, Half Djinn
Age:24
Appearance:
Akryn is 6'8" and weighs about 527 lbs. Being a half djinn, he is much more condensed than others. His left eye has been completely removed and there is a scar running from just under the eye socket up into the hair line, hidden under an eye patch, and there is a very nasty, black scar over his heart, where the flesh is indented into the body, with the edges raised up and protruding some. On top of this, Akryn has a lightning bolt shaped scar on his chest, running from his right shoulder to his left hip. He also has a scar on his right forearm, from midway through the arm, arcing over the skin to midway on the other side. He has nine slash marks on his back at varying angles, as if he was whipped, a large scar on the side of his torso, under his right arm, as if something was ripped away there, he has a scar running up the side of his left leg, starting at the front of his shin, curving around the leg to end just over his left hip on the back.
Akryn is incredibly large and muscular, with each of his muscles trained to peak efficiency and swollen to incredible size. His hair is thick and shoulder length, falling behind him usually but always with a bit hanging in his face, with his remaining eye a silvery color and changes color with his mood. He has a strong, squared jaw, and before gaining so many scars he was considered quite handsome. He usually wears a set of black, scuffed boots and a pair of black jeans, held up by a brown belt with a tarnished bronze buckle. He rarely wears a shirt, preferring the simplicity of a long, dark red coat, with brown pads on the shoulder and the sleeves rolled up to the elbows, and a pair of black, fingerless gloves for his hands, and atop his head sits an ugly, weathered, brown hat with a wide, floppy rim. He usually has a long, heavy chain wrapped around his torso as well, from hip to shoulder, which he will use for combat.
Personality, etc:Outside of combat, Akryn is a generally relaxed person, who gets riled up by very little. He usually spends most of his time lounging about the guild hall, snacking, drinking, and flirting with anything that walks. This often makes people think he is a bit of an airhead, which is not true. In reality, Akryn is quite intelligent and clever, but he prefers to keep his smarts under wraps and allow people to think he is dumb. He often has a shoulder for others to cry on, and has a bit of a soft side, especially for those he comes to truly care for. Which is quite a lot of people really. Besides being intelligent, Akryn has a very caring and sensitive soul, and he often becomes attached to, or starts caring for a person with very little effort, often times growing to care for a person without even him realizing it. He will fight hard, and viciously, to protect those he cares for, with little thought to his own safety. Despite his act of being dumb, Akryn can NOT turn down a challenge, wether it be a physical one, or more to his liking, a mental one. Chess, fighting, racing, any and all competition he enjoys, not so much for putting others down, but to truly test his own limitations and skills, and to see where, and how, he can improve. Unfortunatly for him, when he gets into a competitive state, he often lets his façade of idiocy slip, revealing his true intelligence. His competitiveness often pushes Akryn to judge himself, often rather harshly, always finding when and where he could have done better, but despite his judgement of himself, he can be surprisingly understanding of others, and very forgiving of their own faults and failures.
Once Akryn enters combat, he drops the façade of foolery very quickly. While his magic allows for some very powerful attacks, Akryn takes pride in usually outsmarting his opponent rather than over powering them, and will often fight dirty, lay traps, and work to confuse of weaken his opponent in ways such as throwing dirt in their eyes, kicking them in the groin, or pulling out a variety of nasty little tricks. Win at any costs is his motto, and he lives by it daily. However, even in combat, Akryn is being constantly pushed by his competitiveness, always seeking a challenge, a truly good test of his skills, strength, and mind. This often leads him to challenge the biggest and most powerful looking of any group, despite obvious tactical flaws in this strategy. He does however keep in mind the need to retreat when necessary, and he usually has an exit planned, for himself and allies, before engaging in any real fight. Akryn unsurprisingly does not work well in group situations under a commander. His tactical mind often points out all the flaws in an attack plan, and causes him to hesitate. Additionally, his magic, a powerful but sometimes chaotic style of magic, often poses as much danger to his comrades as his foe, so when possible he will try and engage his opponent in one on one combat.
Magic: Pantheon of Blessings:
Years ago Akryn was the sky dragon slayer, found at a young age by a young dragon and trained extensively in order to fill the necessary role. However, during a ferocious battle with an ancient and powerful demon that had been let loose upon Fiore, Akryn sacrificed all of his magic, the entirety of his dragon slayer abilities, in order to deal incredible damage to the beast and weaken it enough for the other mages of Fiore to bring it down once and for all. The cost of the attack used however had purged all slayer abilities from Akryns body, making him unable to use his sky slayer magic any more. Crushed and desperate for something to use in his ongoing battle with his father, Akryn left the guild for a time to search the world for some new form of magic that could aid him. What he discovered was Xanarex, the ancient and imprisoned god of disaster.
Xanarex was an incredibly powerful deity, known as the head of the Kishin Court. He had been imprisoned millennia ago to safeguard the world against him and his twelve allies, the remaining Kishin Court, and slow their advance against humanity and creation. Xanarex was on the brink of escape when Akryn found him, and would have once more led a full assault upon the world, without Akryns intervention. In a vicious battle against the minions of Xanarex Akryn was able to reseal the deities ancient prison, all without any magic of his own. His courage and actions did not go unnoticed however, and in the following weeks Akryn came to posses a new power, one granted to him by several different gods, from many different Pantheons, each one offering to Akryn their favor and a portion of their power whenever he needed it most, granting to him one of the greatest magics Fiore has ever known.
Gifts of the Pantheon is an immensely powerful and versatile magic, granted to Akryn by dozens of gods, all channeling their strength through him. From the ability to cast bolts of lightning, to summoning powerful storms, creating massive waves, raising the dead, even summoning holy arms and armors, Akryns arsenal of weaponry is immense and terrifying, with the potential to change the face of Fiore, forever. Akryn is thankfully, painfully, aware of the destructive potential he now wields though and rarely uses this gift from the many pantheons. Very few people actually know just what kind of power he wields now, and most of them are deep in hiding.
A downside came with Akryns new strength however. The Pantheons of Light were not the only deities to notice Akryns actions and he has captured the eye of the Kishin Court, twelve powerful entities from beyond this realm of existence that have set their sights on Akryn, and the key to Xanarex's prison which he now holds, and wields as a mighty weapon.
Another downside of the magic is its secrecy and power. It is not the kind of power one uses randomly and without purpose. To this end Akryn has studied a secondary magic type, one that focuses on his own past experiences and the vast, horrible, bloodied past he has had. Memory Make Magic, a magic which allows him to call upon all of his various battles, and the powers of his opponents as well, and bring all those powers to bare.
Character Abilities: Akryn is extremely resistant to wind type magic, taking much less damage from wind spells than normal. This is due to his former Sky Dragon Slayer magic, which he lost due to past experiences.
Akryn is an extremely skilled swordsman and martial artist, trained from a very young age to be one of the best. He has been able to keep up with some of the greatest fighters in the world, and has often relied more on his swordsmanship and skill rather than his magic in order to win.
Being a half Djinn, Akryn has very high physical stats. His strength, speed, and vitality are all roughly 50% higher than that of normal human beings.
Beyond his normal physical boosts from being a Djinn, Akryn is immensely, physically powerful. Considered to be perhaps the single most physically strong being in all of Fiore, he has been known to stop speeding vehicles with ease, and over power foes in combat through sheer physical abilities.
