It looked like everybody was quickly finding their own opponent to fight. Ryu might be fooling around at this point, partially because he didn't see anybody in this place as a serious threat and partially because he just felt like it, but that didn't mean he had stopped being observant. As always it was interesting to see that when the time came to face off people had the interesting knack to quickly pair up. And usually those pairs tended to be proper matchups, as if every single one of them had some instinctive ability to sense just who they should fight. It was almost enough to make you believe that there was some kind of fate and that everybody had to obey it. If it weren't for some other things that Ryu knew he might even be inclined to buy that.
Of course when he talked about everybody finding proper opponents he was not counting himself and his dryad. They didn't really count as part of everybody. Well, not that he minded, since it left him with the freedom to figure out what he felt like doing and actually doing that. Much better than being stuck constantly having to fight one on one with whomever happened to be his opponent at the time. Right now it seemed it was his task to get rid of all these lower quality guards, although after that one guy made a hole in his wall it seemed they were all gathering in that location to take advantage of it. Which was rather insulting.
"Hey! You two didn't even pay the entrance fee! And the rest of you are following their bad example!" He sighed, scratching his head as he walked over the top of the wall towards the hole that the second intruder had made in it. "You bunch of hooligans. This is why I hate young people. No respect for the elderly." Whether he was actually serious about that or whether he was still fooling around was anybody's guess. He then cracked his knuckles. "Oh well, if we're going to abandon the rules I might as well just help you all get some rest. I was going to be nice but you guys had to ruin it by being so obstinate. Honestly this is for your own good."
With that he jumped down in the middle of the guards who were trying to get to the hole in the wall. When he landed the earth once again shook, although this time instead of forming another earth barrier the shaking just kept increasing until all the guards outside of the barrier fell down, and maybe some of the people inside the barrier would also feel their footing becoming less stable. Ryu himself straightened, looking down at the guards while he made several symbols using his hands. "Don't worry, this won't kill you." With that said he raised one hand, all the air in his surroundings gathering in a sphere above said clawed hand. Ryu watched impassively as the guards that were lying on the ground around him struggled with the fact that the air around them had suddenly become too thin to grant them enough oxygen, waiting until they had all fallen unconscious before closing his hand, the orb of air unravelling as its contents returned to occupy their original space. "There we go. Now, for the slightly more dangerous hooligans..." He walked through the hole made by the man who used electricity, folding his arms as he glared at the two who bypassed his barrier. "Any volunteers or must I pick a target myself?"
Meanwhile it appeared that almost everybody had forgotten about Girana. Which wasn't too surprising, given the dryad's dislike of violence and the fact that regardless of Vierra's reassurance she still felt like she was interfering with something which was none of her business. So she hadn't done anything yet, and while her appearance was rather abnormal (most humans didn't have clothes made out of leafs. Not to mention all her other strange features) it was also a pretty small appearance. Combine this with the fact that she wasn't doing anything and it was actually pretty easy to overlook the leafy girl. However that was not to say that she herself was just standing there not planning to do anything at all. For now she had only observed, although when Vierra suddenly addressed her in a way that was completely different from how the arcane mage had been behaving up until that point she blinked and stared at the woman.
"What do you mean by that?"
She didn't really expect an answer, since everybody around her was rather busy. Ryu was making sure that the 'normal' guards wouldn't get in the way, and the two mages who the dryad had accompanied into that crate were both finding their opponents. The dryad had noticed that the two both seemed to be surging with magical power, something which began when they inhaled that strange dust and it managed to be absorbed into their systems. A drug which temporarily enhanced the magic power of humans? That sounded like the kind of thing which would have rather punishing drawbacks in the long run, seeing how the easiest way to make someone's magic surge without outright giving them more was to forcefully pull out the energy that was normally used to keep their being stable and healthy. From the looks of their opponents maybe that was a price worth paying, since it didn't look like they were dealing with the average drug dealer, but the dryad was already preparing herself for the possibility of having to treat the both of them and weaken the drawbacks once the drug finished running its course.
One of the opponents was a strange white man who seemed to be using a strange form of shadow magic, although Girana couldn't be sure because she couldn't remember seeing shadow copies before which actually would copy the exact appearance of the original, colour and all. Even the best shadow copies tended to hold some kind of dark tint to their appearance, so for these to look so identical to the real one confused the dryad. The fact that this man also had a silver claw which was draining the magic out of the immediate surroundings didn't make her feel any better about that man. The dryad unconsciously tried to inch away from what Mosa dubbed the White Shadow, and all his copies as well. She'd try to deal with him if it became necessary but honestly she just wanted to stay away from him. She didn't like the feeling she got from him at all.
The original blue eyed target was still there, but he was now helped out by one who seemed to be quite a bit stronger than him, accentuated by the fact that the blue eyed boy called him boss. Girana's eyes went wide when that Trase person quite quickly was taken out by this boss, who had blown a hole in Ryu's wall and paralysed Trase with his electricity. This one didn't give her the same worrying feeling as the White Shadow, but he was still strong (of course Girana's bad feeling for the White Shadow mostly came from the fact that his claw was absorbing the magic around him. Dryads don't like that kind of thing). She really hoped that she wouldn't have to actually fight, but from the looks of it that wish wouldn't be answered. The White Shadow was squaring off with Mosa, who looked surprisingly eager to fight the shadow man, whereas the boss was approaching Vierra with that kind of expression that always made Girana nervous and annoyed Ryu whenever he saw a man give Girana that look.
Girana sighed and placed her hands together, the leafs of her dress multiplying and swirling around her before settling down again, the only real change being that the skirt of her dress had been divided so she wouldn't have to worry about her movements being limited by her choice of attire. Better to be prepared. So far she hadn't been forced to act yet but with the kind of enemies that they were dealing with she wouldn't be given the chance to do this once they begun attacking her. While altering her clothes Girana also checked how far the plants had advanced in their desire to reach her. People throughout town would be noticing at this point that there seemed to be more green around. Even inside this warehouse the dryad noticed at least one plant which had forced its way through the ground.
Her attention was drawn away from that when she noticed a steadily increasing blue-white light in the corner of her eye. Frowning Girana turned towards that, only to see that the blue eyed boy was preparing to take Trase out while he was paralysed. The dryad's eyes went wide in shock before they went narrow. As much as she disliked fighting it was preferable over watching somebody get killed. Putting her hands together as if praying Girana focused on the plants below, feeding several of them quite a bit of energy as food and directing their growth.
Trase and the blue eyed boy would hear a rumbling before around them six plants broke the ground and quickly grew bigger, flourishing and expanding. The flowers began to bloom at an alarming rate, at which point Girana spread her arms wide as if opening a set of large doors. In response the numerous flowers that grew from the six plants began to shed their pollen at the same time that a gentle breeze circled around Trase and Lusin. Within seconds they were both surrounded by a cloud of golden dust, the flowers continuing to produce more and more. Those who inhaled this golden dust would quickly become drowsy and feel their senses dull. With one flower Girana could help a normal person fall asleep without any real issue. She had used many flowers this time around to make sure that both of the two targets wouldn't be able to resist it. She would have preferred to only put the boy to sleep, but the two were too close together. That and if Trase was asleep she could tend to him without him struggling. From the way he had behaved so far he might have tried to continue fighting even though he had just been paralysed.

Mosa found himself looking at Vierra, who appeared to have a different state of mind, or personality even. She was under the influence of the drugs herself, no doubt. That realization, however, made Mosa think what his appearance was like now that his unconscious was in control. What was his disposition? He felt more calm, that much was certain. He also felt an immense amount more powerful, though he assumed that was the effect of the drugs as well. From what information he had learned before, the drugs would release all subconscious and natural restrictions the body puts on the releasing of magic so that the user doesn't drain himself and burns himself out. Spells become much more dangerous, because much more magic is poured into them, much more than a normal person could even if he or she willed it.
A voice echoed through the space in his mind. It told the man known as Trase to release him in order to unlock more power, while commanding Vierra or... Kyll... to use her blade as the medium. Mosa turned his face to Vierra, who told him he had gotten a lot younger since last they met.
The battle unfolded around him, and Mosa quickly turned away from Vierra after giving her a smirk. His focus returned entirely to the White Shadow, who was approaching him -but as he moved forward, all of his clones stumbled and around into different directions. The White Shadow stopped and stared into Mosa's eyes with a questioning expression. He looked at his hand, while his clones looked into random other directions, and then raised it. His clones all raised different arms into different directions. It was a very clumsy and humorous scene.
The spell had had the desired effect: find the original and render his clones useless. Mosa had set this as an objective in his mind after identifying that this was the first obstacle to defeating him. His body had acted on its own and casted the appropriate spell.
Next objective then... test resistance to magic.
Time slowed down once more as his vision tapped into the arcane spectrum again, equally as intense as when he was on the tower. It alerted him to the siphon claw once more and it also revealed how the magic was flowing through his target's body. The other clones were linked to him through void pathways hidden in the shadows. His spells were cast from within, not from any item he was carrying.
As time returned to its normal speed, Mosa watched his body move in a way it had never done before. He dashed forward, launched himself up in the air, kicked into the air with his feet, unleashing a burst of pure arcane energy which propelled him higher up. He reached up high with his left arm, as if he was pulling something out of thin air and as he began to lose momentum, swung his hand down at the White Shadow. There was a sound of thunder overhead and, instantly, white lightning of pure arcane energy came crashing down through the roof of the building and hit the White Shadow straight between the eyes.
Again, the spell didn't seem to have an immediate effect, but Mosa felt confident as he landed on the ground. Again, the White Shadow simply gave him a questioning look and tried to feel what was happening to his body. Though this time, his eyes widened in panic as he realized that the flow of his magic within was being reversed. Instead of the siphon drawing magic from the surroundings, it was absorbing it from its host. All of the clones dissolved into shadows and the White One pulled the siphon from his finger and tossed it aside as far from him as possible. As soon as it touched the ground, it dissolved into shadows as well.
Then he set his gaze upon Mosa, breathing heavily, a vein in his forehead pulsing, and he licked his lips. His eyes then turned into blindingly bright lights, so bright, Mosa could no longer see anything else. He closed them as quickly as he could, though he could still feel the lights burning through his eyelids. Then he felt himself flying through the air and hitting the surrounding earthen wall with his back, which knocked the air out of him, and he fell to his hands and knees.
The blinding light persisted, and he didn't know what to do next.

Girana's words asking her what she meant by what she said. She grinned and opened one of her glowing green eyes. "It could be the synthetic materials talking, but what I feel from him is very familiar. Like I am Vierra, and I feel like someone else at the same time. Like someone is coming out wanting to fight along side Mosa. However the man was older." She gripped her fist as she could feel the magic surge out of her body. "And with the mixture of this magic with this drug. I don't know if I'm going to be very likeable." Arcane Energy poured over her body.
"Well that was......" Vierra looked at Bruno with a grin. "Shocking" She giggled at her own joke, but Bruno, however, was rather upset. He turned into lightning and then found himself right in her face. He gave her a glare. Vierra didn't know what to make of this situation. Bruno took advantage of this situation and grabbed her side. A surge of electricity when from his arm straight into her side. Vierra grimaced in pain as she felt all of her muscles contract in that one area. She fell to her knee and looked up at Bruno.
"I don't like very bad puns," he said with a glare.
Vierra stood up and dusted her side off. The closed eyes mage smirked and looked him in the eyes again. Her eyes opened and they were glowing green. "Well... I don't like men with no CONDUCT whatsoever."
Bruno roared in anger as he took both hands and then placed them on her shoulders. He surged with electricity as he turned around holding Vierra up in the air. Vierra screamed in agony as the muscles on her shoulders tightened . She could feel her skin about to burn under his palms. He then head butted her and sent her flying towards Trase.
Vierra looked up and opened a portal right beside the cloud of pollen. It sucked all of the remaining pollen in like a vacuum and then disappeared. She looked down at Trase and gave a grin. "You see that? I took a couple hits for you, just so this plan could work." She then opened another portal and the pollen flew all over Bruno. Bruno covered his mouth and coughed as he fell to a knee. She stood up and looked over at Bruno. "Take a break and you." She looked right at Lusin who must've been slowed from the pollen. "You're burning hot with desire." She smirked and opened a portal. She knocked his body through. The exit portal opened up throwing Lusin out onto the ground a good 30 feet away from the two. "Okay Gilgamesh. You want out? I'll let you out. Just know what kind of pain you're going to be putting your champion through." She flicked her wrist. Snick! A blade appeared. Immediately Vierra's magic dissipated. The only thing that could be sensed was her blade. She looked down at Trase's body and scanned up and down looking for the ball of light that was within him. She finally noted that Gilgamesh was located in his heart. "Interesting where you placed yourself." She then lifted her blade hand up and then stabbed it down on Trase's heart. A pressure built around her blade and the orb as it exploded. The pressure was so intense that Vierra was knocked off her feet and flown across the room. A red ball of light flew out of Trase's body and followed her. She hit a wall and looked up at the ball of light. It was returned to its form. A card. The Emperor. This was Vierra's first time where she looked at the card. It spun in front of her. She then focused on Bruno who was recovering from the pollen. She took the card and placed it in her pocket. A child ran past to find cover. Vierra's eyes softened. Then she looked around at the facility. Children... working... She grit her teeth then turned her focus to Bruno.
"That wasn't very nice foxy lady..."
Vierra looked over at Bruno and kept the blade out. "You know... I wonder how this is going to work." She locked her eyes at Mosa. "Mosa, if I lose myself after this, help me gain myself back." Knowing that she was asking the impossible of Mosa, who was already filling the stimulating effects of the drug, she withdrew her blade and immediately the increased magic flew through her system. Her eyes grew completely purple with magical energy. It came to her like a rush. Her body began to tremble with sheer power. She smirked. Bruno flew a lightning bolt at her. Her body blurred and disappeared. Bruno found himself staring at nothing for a split second then suddenly found himself feeling a foot come into contact with his lower back. The man fell forward and looked up at her. "You want to know what not nice is?" A portal opened under the two. It was pink and red with anger. Hands began to reach out of the portal and into Bruno's skin. Bruno screamed as the two sunk into the portal slowly.
Bruno found himself floating staring up at Vierra who stood there with her arms crossed. He looked around to see indescribable horrors. All of the past memories of the children who were killed in the making of these drugs. All of the souls that were tortured by his reign as a boss of this facility surrounding him. Touching him. Grabbing at his skin.
"Welcome to your hell." Vierra glared at him. "All of the young prodigies that could've been made here in Hargeon, wasted, whipped, beaten, destroyed, and killed. Their souls still linger in this place."
"MAKE THEM GO AWAY! MAKE IT STOP!" He shouted. Immediately the whisps of ghost began to laugh in a high pitch as they surrounded him and tore into his flesh.
"You think they will stop? They won't stop... They will continue to eat at you." Vierra looked down at him. Her conscious unable to stop the torture. Her purple aura melted through her eyes. Finally, they reached the end of the tunnel and the two floated through the ceiling. Bruno fell out of the portal and landed on his side. Vierra dropped out of the portal and landed on her feet. She looked down at the man and glared down at him. The man laid on the floor. There was nothing wrong with him, but he had a look of shock on him. He was pale and his mouth was drooling. She walked up to him and picked him up by the back of his head. Vierra opened a portal. This time, it led to outside the tower that the three, Girana, Mosa, and Vierra had been standing upon. She held him over the cliff. Wanting to drop him off the tower to his death. She glared at him. "You will die here."
She stopped and looked down at the height she would drop him off of. Something inside her froze her. Making her stop and hesitate.

Lusin twitched after lifting his arm up above his brother. It was as if time had stopped. Trase couldn't move at all and could only see his younger brother with the flames that were about to pierce through his body. Thoughts of how he could get out of this situation ran through his head but even with Gilgamesh calling out to Vierra to help him she still did not look like she would get there in time. Trase closed his eyes as his brother started to move his arm down towards him. He was completely leaving it all up to fate.
Fate was somehow on his side as plants rushed from out of the ground, distracting Lusin from his attack and letting out a pollen around them both. Trase luckily had the same mask he had put on earlier which filtered out the pollen from his breathing and would keep it from affecting him. Lusin tried to cover his face from the pollen but it was too late as it entered his body from his breathing. Vierra suddenly flew at the both of them and used her abilities with portals to move Lusin away from them both and out of the barrier. She made some remarks to Trase but he didn't waste time responding to them at all. "Just hurry up and get it over with...!" He grunted out.
Vierra quickly slammed her blade into his chest causing him to gasp out in pain. A explosion of magical energy sent Vierra flying along with a red orb while Trase was thrown to the other side of the room. The face mask he wore had disappeared with the explosion of energy also. All he could feel was the aching pain where Vierra's blade was in his chest. The pain was different from the other pain he had felt in the past. It was as if his own heart had been ripped out from his body and caused him to gasp out silently over and over in agony for a short time. Sweat built up all over his body from the feeling of distress coming over him but suddenly it stopped.
It just abruptly stopped and he felt different. He felt a surge of magical energy come over him just as quickly as the pain had disappeared. So much energy surged through him that he could not help but release some of it which made the area around him become freezing cold until it was frozen in a purplish-black sheet of ice. He slowly stood up from where he had been laying down and experiencing all of his pain. He looked around himself to see the black ice around him and like a child who had just learned how to ride a bike he started to manipulate the ice. He made it float up in front of him and then changed it into many different shapes while in the air. His new power was very similar to his old power which made him remember what Gilgamesh had said about only bringing out a portion of his true power for him in the past.
By the time Trase had fully gotten up, Vierra was done with Bruno it seemed and instead of getting some revenge on the man Trase left it up to Vierra to decide. "I owe you one it looks like, Vierra." Trase grinned towards her showing signs of his old self a bit. Difference was his grin was more sinister in nature. "I don't know if I should owe you for the pain you gave me there or if I should owe you for helping me attain this power but I owe you either way." He continued to grin at her. Truth be told, he felt different compared to who he was earlier like Gilgamesh holding his true power back held him back from his own personality. "I'll be back and we will figure out what I owe you then."
He dashed away from where he was and moved to the side of the barrier using his sense of smell to sniff out his brother. Using his power of ice he froze the barrier and punched a hole through it so he could get through it, only to reseal it with his ice after he moved through it. He looked towards his brother who was knocked out on the floor still from the pollen. He silently made his way to his younger brother but was stopped by multiple voices yelling out at him to stop moving or they would attack him. He did not listen and multiple men ran in between him and his brother holding magical cannons that they fired at him. The cannons shot out explosive balls that blew up into a spectacle of debris, dust and flame when they seemingly hit Trase. The small group of men cheered a bit as they thought their attack was successful.
As the scene cleared though and black barrier of ice showed itself from under the dust created from the explosions. A small hole formed from out of the barrier allowing Trase's red eye to stare directly at the men in his way. "Out of my way." Trase spoke out as the air around the men became colder and suddenly black kunai formed in the air and attacked the group of men and incapacitating them.
As the kunai attacked the men around Lusin he woke up to see the attacks happening and feel the chill in the air. He quickly used his own magic to heat up the area around him by igniting his arms and legs in flames. He kicked himself up and looked directly at his brother. He could feel the magical power of his brother had completely changed. "Trase....!" Lusin spoke out in anger and took in a deep breath of air before releasing a giant ball of white fire towards his brother. "You idiot..." Trase replied to his brother and took in his own deep breathe of air and released a massive ball of black ice towards the attack his brother shot off. Both balls of their respective elements clashed in between the two siblings causing the area around them to be covered in a white and black light from the clashing of power. The entire time the two brothers just stared passed the clash of their powers and stared directly into each other eyes.

Ryu stared as one of the people that he was supposedly working together with went and made another hole in his earthen wall. He opened his mouth to say something, revealing sharp fangs, then closed it again and breathed deeply, pressing his fingers against his forehead while seeming to be saying something to himself that nobody else was privy to. The strange hybrid dragon-wolf was quite obviously trying his best to restrain himself from lashing out at all the people who seemed to be having a real blast wrecking the barrier he had gone through the trouble of creating. After several seconds of this he exhaled deeply and finally muttered something that others might be able to hear if they were in the position to pay attention to the strange mythical creature instead of something more pressing.
"Calm down Ryu, it's just hooligans who don't know better. No need to go on a rampage just because these youngsters are once again showing their disrespect so blatantly. Just forgive them and hope that in time they'll learn some manners."
He stared at the earthen barrier that he had formed, and the holes that had already been made in it. There were two, one of them had been made by that electricity guy who was currently busy with Vierra, and the other by that Trase guy who had suddenly switched from using black metal to black ice. At least that one had the decency to at least try and fix the hole he made, although the black ice made a very ugly scar when compared to the rest of the wall, which was all just brown. The hybrid looked like he once again wanted to say something, then just sighed and gave up on the whole thing.
"You know what, never mind, we might as well do without the barrier. It isn't like any of those guards outside of the barrier are really a problem to any of the people inside the barrier, and honestly I can't be bothered to care about what the guards outside might want."
With that said Ryu suddenly jumped up and spun, not bothering to give a warning as suddenly his three tails extended to ridiculous lengths, turning from three wolf tails into three long orange whips that tore the earthen barrier to pieces before he landed, his tails returning to their usual shape even as the earth which had been separating the people on the inside from the guards on the outside crumbled and fell back onto the ground. The spirit himself stood up and glanced around, his eyes narrowing when he picked up on several things. One, one of the guys who had invaded the barrier before he broke it down (the one who had at least bothered to leave the barrier untouched) was suddenly producing so much light that it was painful to look at him. Two, Vierra had just gone through a portal together with that electricity guy, and she had been emitting very clear killing intent before she disappeared through the portal.
Now, usually this wouldn't be too much of an issue for Ryu. Things got born, things lived, things died. Often they helped each other achieve those things, although in general the people who wanted help dying were considered either weird or sticking to some honourable code. As something which wasn't really tied to the cycle of life Ryu had seen this happen a lot, and honestly he didn't feel like it was much of his business. If he liked one of the mortals who was about to die he would get in the way mostly for the selfish reason that he enjoyed that person's company and wasn't willing to let go of that purely because another mortal felt like it was time to get rid of his friend, but beyond that he didn't have a very strong inclination towards being the hero. Too lazy for that and lacking in motivation. Sure, he would help if people asked him and he couldn't think of a reason to say no, but beyond that? Not really.
On the other hand, Girana preferred it if living things didn't die if it could be helped. As a dryad she couldn't avoid knowing that death was as important as life, and that everything which lived eventually would die (well, the vast majority. The 99 percent. You always had those strange cases who didn't behave like the rest). If she were to keep all the preys from dying the predators would starve. And even if she somehow found a way for nothing to ever die it wouldn't take very long before everybody would start running out of personal space. A real shame, but that's how it was. However there was a difference between accepting the death of a deer because the wolves had to feast and the death of a man, as annoying as he was, purely because another human wanted him dead. Girana didn't really like that kind of thing. And if there was one thing which could motivate Ryu to get off his lazy ass and actually do something, it was making sure that Girana wouldn't be unhappy.
Vierra wouldn't have a lot of alone time together with her opponent (who right now seemed to be more of a victim than anything else, the way that he was barely conscious and dangling there while the arcane mage tried to make up her mind about killing him or not) before she'd see Ryu jumping out of the portal behind her until he was...standing...in the air? Apparently. He was standing in the air above the depths in which Vierra wanted to throw the electricity mage. Ryu raised an eyebrow as he looked at Vierra, then sighed and went through his unruly hair with one of his clawed hands.
"Sorry, but I'll have to interrupt this touching moment."
At which point Ryu seemed to disperse. And Vierra and her passenger both got hit by a very strong gale from the front, a gale strong enough that unless Vierra was holding very tightly onto the roof she would find that the both of them were being blown away from the edge and back through the portal. Or if the portal had already disappeared, onto a safer portion of the roof where Vierra couldn't just throw her opponent into certain death. Either way after everybody was at a sufficient distance from the drop Ryu would reappear behind Vierra, tapping her on the shoulder.
"Yo. I think it's better if you let him go now. I mean, yeah, he's an ass, but Leafy won't approve killing him so it'd be better if you let me handle this."
Meanwhile Girana was moving towards the next confrontation, although she really wished she didn't have to. She had been planning to put Lusin to sleep (and Trase), but before either of them could inhale enough pollen for that (she hadn't noticed that Trase was wearing a mask until she was already spreading the pollen) Vierra had got rid of the pollen and used it on her opponent instead before doing something strange to Trase that sent everybody concerned flying and released some strange energies that left the dryad wondering just what kind of situation she and her spirit had ended up in. Trase seemed to be all right though, although it was strange to observe how he was suddenly using black ice even though before he was quite clearly using black metal. Whatever the arcane mage had done to him it had quite the effect on him. Now if only Girana could figure out what she had done.
Anyway, it seemed like neither Trase nor Vierra needed her help. Now that the electricity mage was being taken care of by Vierra (and Ryu was making sure it didn't become a fight to the death) and Trase could deal with Lusin one on one (the dryad was pretty sure that as long as Trase got Lusin to himself he shouldn't have any trouble) that meant two of the biggest issues didn't need her attention. She'd still keep an eye out but she was honestly more expecting her job to be patching up all the combatants after the fights were already over than that she would have to intervene.
Which left the only duel where things weren't going quite as smoothly. Mosa had been doing pretty well up until now, but it looked like the white man that he had been fighting had decided to get serious. Or to change tactics. Either way, the man that Vierra and Girana had saved after he had fallen from the roof looked like he was in trouble. Which was understandable, since his opponent was constantly emitting a blinding light from his eyes, which basically meant that you couldn't look at him without getting a headache without really seeing anything worthwhile. For humans who heavily relied on their eyes this would be a major counter. Girana had to admit that she still wasn't quite sure what her job here was, but at the very least she could make up her mind regarding this fight. THe white man was no longer draining the surrounding magic, which meant that either Mosa had disabled that silver claw or forced the man to stop using it. Either way Girana's main fear had disappeared, although she still didn't like this white man. But at least she wouldn't be too hindered by the fact that she couldn't use her eyes.
The White Shadow wouldn't be given a lot of time before suddenly somebody new was standing in front of him. A rather small female, wearing a dress made out of leafs with a divided skirt, with hair that was messy and green enough to look like actual foliage. As if that wasn't strange enough she was barefooted, her ears were lupine in nature, and a long slender tail covered in that same foliage-like fur (which also covered those ears) sprouted from her lower back. A strange apparition, to be clear. If it wasn't for the fact that Girana had her eyes closed the White Shadow could also have noticed that she had large emerald eyes. Instead he would learn that she was quite fast as she first appeared in front of him, and then immediately lashed out with one hand, aiming at his chest with surprising precision for somebody who couldn't see anything. Although rather than actually hurting the man she would merely tap his chest before retreating, jumping back until she was protecting Mosa from the White Shadow's blinding light.
However if the White Shadow hadn't managed to avoid being tapped on the chest by the dryad he'd soon find out what she had been aiming for. Upon contact she had touched the White Shadow with a seed, and that seed would upon contact begin to grow rapidly, entangling the white man even as it sapped his energies to accelerate and improve its growth. It wouldn't kill the white man, but if he had been unlucky enough to get hit by the dryad he would have to very quickly find a way to get rid of the plant that was wrapping itself around his entire body while also making him very tired as his energy levels dropped drastically.

The White Shadow remained unmoving as Girana touched him. There was something awfully inhuman about him. It was not simply his looks, but his entire demeanor was eerie. The seed grew rapidly and the white haired being once again was having his energy drained. The roots wrapped around him viciously as it fed on his magic, the White Shadow sank to one knee, but remained entirely calm. A foul smirk appeared on his face and he dissolved into shadows, leaving the plant nothing to feed on. The shadows dissipated and merged with the surrounding ones. Several minutes later however, the White Shadow would still be gone. None would be able to tell if he was still lurking around or not.
Mosa's vision returned as soon as the White Shadow had dematerialized. The effects of the drugs were fading. With each heartbeat, he felt himself return to the surface of consciousness while his subconscious retreated to the background and assumed its role as mute co-pilot once more. The arcane mage rose to his feet slowly, the world was spinning and his senses were bleeding over into one another. Visual stimulation became painful to his eyes, auditory pulses caused visual hallucinations of fractals and abstract symmetrical shapes. His energy was leaving him quickly and he felt weak. He understood that the dryad must have helped him and warded off the White Shadow somehow. And he was eager to know the details of how.
"Thanks...," he uttered, barely able to produce words from his mouth. It was an utterly bizarre and inexplicable feeling. He had been stuck in his subconscious just moments ago, feeling so powerful he could take on anyone, understanding his magic deeper than he ever had before, but the memories of it were fading. He realized that soon, very soon, he would not be able to recall a think that happened while he was under the influence. Hopefully he would at least remember all the potential he had felt within him, so that it could guide him in his progress.
Mosa bent forward, resting his hands on his knees and breathing deeply, unsure whether he was about to throw up or not. "I just need to take a moment, if that's all right..."
Whatever else was happening around him, he paid no mind to it. He was too busy blocking out the signals firing through his brain, trying to regain control of his mind and body.

Vierra was blown back from the portal by the floating Ryu. She blinked and her body seemed to calm down. Moreover, the need to keep her eyes closed disappeared. She looked down at the body who's mouth oozed of drool. Immediately she figured out what happened. Anger. It had taken over her entire body and made her do what she told The Hermit she would NEVER do. She stood up and rubbed her head. The glow in her eyes had disappeared and she looked over at Mosa. Her magic was worse off too. She pointed her finger at the area in front of her, but nothing happened. The fact her body was showered in more Arcane Energy than she expected made her muscles scream. Her head was still stuck in a moment of ecstasy as well. She closed her eyes as she looked at the ground. She looked at Girana with a warm smile. "Thank you," she said. "I promised the Hermit I wouldn't take another life during this quest. Breaking that promise would only make him upset." She took in a deep breath then let it out. Her body fell to a knee as she looked at the ground. "Girana, if you're feeling the need to make a giant tree. NOW would be the time to do it." She looked over at the fight between Trase and Lusin.

Trase was able to feel the amount of magical power Lusin put into his attack and matched it with his own purposely so that they both canceled each other out. Lusin ran around the two colliding elements as they started to cancel each other out. His blue eyes swirled as he formed a blade of flame and swung it at his older sibling. Trase formed a three-headed spear out of ice and used it to parry the flaming blades attacks over and over. After parrying and blocking the attacks, Trase was able to get some distance between him and Lusin. This left Lusin glaring at him but his eyes were showing more than just anger; Sadness was in them now also.
"Why did you kill her...?!" He yelled out but did give his brother anytime to answer as he continued. "Why..?! She.. She was going to stop what she was doing! She had a plan to stop it all and then to change everything! We were going to be happy! But... But...!" White flames erupted out from Lusin's body and covered him. "YOU HAD TO TAKE HER AWAY FROM THIS WORLD! THE BLOOD OF A GOD RUNS THROUGH ME AND THE BLOOD OF A DEVIL RUNS THROUGH YOURS THANKS TO HER AND YOU KILLED HER WITH THAT POWER!" The flames around Lusin continued to intensify as he spoke more. "I'LL GET REVENGE FOR HER!" The flames suddenly acted like a thruster on a ship and shot Lusin forward at even faster speeds than what Bruno could move at, leading to him slamming his flaming fist into Trase's chest and taking him through the wall of the building and outside of it. Lusin was able to stop moving but Trase was sent even further away and tumbled across the ground.
Trase was able to stand up and somehow his body did not show much damage at all. Cracking happened across his body and then a sheet of ice fell from it. "Are you done yet? Can it be my turn?" This angered Lusin a lot to see that one of his strongest attacks did barely anything and now his brother was basically taunting him, asking for more. The flames ignited around him again in a similar way like earlier but when he was about to use it to shoot himself off towards his brother a sudden chill in the air hit him. He looked down to see a layer of black ice on the ground. "Doesn't matter either way... I'll make it my turn. I got sort of impatient. Sorry." Trase gave Lusin a sinister grin as the ice formed over his back and made his flames diminish to the point where he could not thrust himself off as fast as earlier. "SHUT UP!" Lusin used the power of the flames he had to burn the ice off and thrusted forward using them but Trase had expected this and formed a giant black ice fist to slam into his brother who was too angered to really think straight.
Lusin's body was struck and because the giant fist was placed in his way, he was sent flying at an angle away from his brother uncontrollably causing his body to fly through the air where he was about to hit the ground. Before he was about to make contact though a portal opened up in front of him and he slammed into a fort of pillows inside of a new area. "Hey bossman, don't you think that was a little bit extreme to do to him there? You might have killed him with how fast he was moving there, you know?" Sorie spoke out through another portal she had made as Trase walked in. "He wasn't listening to me so I had to knock it into him somehow." Sorie sighed but suddenly her eyes widened. "What happened to the gloomy you? And when did you get that ice magic?!" Trase shrugged with a smile not feeling like answering her fully. "I'll pry it out of you later..." Sorie spoke out under her breathe as the two walked towards the mass of pillows where Lusin had crashed.
Lusin was hurt from the whole ordeal. His body had taken a lot of damage from pushing it to move at speeds he could not handle as well as hitting the fist. He struggled to pull himself up but couldn't. "Lusin..." Sorie spoke out and placed her arm over his shoulders and her head and his arm to help him up. "Sorie...?" He allowed the girl to help him up from the pillows. "Why are you here?" Lusin asked as he was helped up. "It was your brother's plan to get you to listen to him. He knew you wouldn't be able to without my help." Sorie helped Lusin turn in order to stare at his brother who was watching them not too far away. "He saved us, Lusin. It was all part of your mother's plan. Her death saved us from the lives that they were going to force us all into. She let herself die for that reason." Lusin stared at the woman helping him stand up and then at his brother. "Lusin, sorry that I'm using Sorie here to calm you down. I know you two were close in the past but she wanted this. Mother wanted us to work together in order to fix the world. That was her plan, to leave everything to her children and trust we would be able to do what she couldn't."
Trase walked back towards the portal that lead to the building. "I have a few things to finish up here. Sorie, take care of him while I'm doing all of this." Without a word he walked back through the portal out of Sorie's dimension and into the world. "So... Want to help me rebuild the pillow fort you made your entrance into so swiftly?" She smiled at Lusin who then managed to stand on his own and nodded.
Trase went back into the building and stared at what henchmen were left as well as the allies who he had randomly gained in the whole ordeal. He didn't know which to deal with first but was quickly shown as one of the enemy shot from his gun towards him causing the bullet to ricochet off of black ice that he used to shield from the attack. He moved towards the men and summoned the three headed spear he had earlier, twirling it into the air. "Thanks for making up my decision for me. So who is going to be first? You know what? never mind..." He slashed the spear through the air as a show as ice swirled around each of the men near him and froze them. "I have a brother to go and talk to. Kind of more important than showing off."

Girana was watching the white man warily, waiting for the plant to have drained enough of his energy that she could remove it without having to worry about him lashing out towards her. It was clear that this person wasn't just your average human, or even an abnormal human. She wasn't sure what he was, but she couldn't assume that the same methods which would work on a human would also be effective against this person. This was proven when he managed to remain calm even when the plant had already drained enough of his energy that he had been forced to fall onto his knees, but still didn't give any sign of being worried, and several seconds later he just disappeared, the plant falling onto the ground where it began to burrow its roots into the ground so it could continue growing at a more reasonable pace. The dryad frowned as she saw that the shadows which the white man had turned into all fled the area. It looked like the White Shadow was no longer willing to fight, although she wasn't sure if that was because she had drained enough of his energy or because he simply no longer saw the use in continuing. Honestly she knew nearly nothing about the person she had just protected Mosa from, not who he was, what he was doing and why he was doing what he was doing. For all she knew he could just have been passing through and felt like interfering with Mosa's business. Well, there was nothing really that she could do about that man other than do her best not to be caught off guard if he returned and targeted her this time.
She looked around when Mosa began to show signs of the drug wearing off. It looked like she was corrected when she guessed that the drug was designed to temporarily consume all the energy a person possessed to grant them a burst of immense power, but it would leave the user in a vulnerable and confused state afterwards as their body would have to try its utmost best to make up for all the energy that had been used up. The dryad hastened to Mosa's side, placing a small hand on his shoulder as she closed her eyes and began to concentrate, a soft green glow emitting from her hand. Before she did anything else she quickly inspected Mosa's being, figuring out exactly which effects the drug had on him. Aside from the energy deficiency it looked like it had also granted him a state of sharpened awareness, but now his body and mind were unable to communicate properly and his senses were trying to maintain that heightened state, only to instead malfunction and deliver incorrect information to his brain now that the drug was no longer functioning and there was not enough energy available. The dryad placed her other hand on Mosa's head, humming softly as she began to channel her energy through him.
Mosa would first of all feel that the pain and exhaustion were dimming and fading away, and after that his senses would begin returning to normal, Girana's energy travelling through him like a cleansing wave which restored at least enough energy that he would no longer be in danger of collapsing, although the dryad was apparently deciding against giving him enough that he would be able to continue fighting in top condition. Possibly because she disliked it when people who she was trying to heal would immediately throw themselves back into situations where they would get injured. She realized that it wasn't on purpose, but it always felt like they were being ungrateful when they did that. Regardless, the dryad's experienced and skilful healing would do its work quite quickly, being a very soothing experience as she basically dismissed all the negative side effects that the drug would otherwise have on the human in front of her.
"Please don't move for now. That substance has thrown your entire body into disarray and I would rather you didn't injure yourself while I'm repairing the damage done."
Ryu raised his eyebrows as it appeared Vierra was coming to her senses, or whatever it was that made her stop trying to drop the electricity man from a tall building. While Girana could inspect things like biological functions Ryu had instead just paid attention to the fact that both Mosa and Vierra had their energy spike after they inhaled that dust, and now it was fading away, leaving them at a level far below what they usually possessed. At least, what the two of them had possessed before they had inhaled the drug. He was somewhat curious why the people in this building were even bothering with the drug. Yes, it had allowed these two mages to display their strength, but it hadn't lasted very long and now neither of them was in the shape to do anything but stand there and try to regain control of themselves. That and when comparing their energy levels to those of most humans they already stood above the vast majority with little to no effort. So far as he could see the only reason you'd bother with the drug was if a) you were planning to combine the energy of several drugged humans to cast some very powerful spell which would otherwise be next to impossible, or b) you wanted to sell it to some poor buggers and neglected to tell them about the side effects. Knowing humans and their greed it was most likely the latter. Well, with how the Trase, Mosa and Vierra had wreaked havoc in here the smuggling around here probably had taken enough of a hit already (Ryu was not counting the fact that he had thrown a good portion of the guards into disarray, primarily because none of those guards had been noteworthy).
"You're welcome. I wouldn't sniff that dust again though. I don't think the power spike is worth the crash. Although now that I mention it..."
Ryu placed his hand on the top of Vierra's head, as if planning to ruffle her hair. However instead one of his eyes suddenly changed from its usual bright orange to forest green, and Vierra would feel energy flowing out of Ryu's hand and into her body, refreshing her and numbing the side effects of the drug. It wasn't of the same quality or gentleness as what Girana was doing to help Mosa: what Ryu was doing would feel more like a fire surged through her, making her feel feverish and overly energized for a moment before her body managed to take in the new abundance of energy and use it to recover from the weakened and confused state the drug had left her in. Like Girana Ryu wasn't giving her enough that she would be able to immediately rejoin the fight, and since Ryu wasn't as good at helping people like this as Girana Vierra would probably take longer to recover. After all, the dryad was thoroughly healing and restoring Mosa, whereas Ryu basically gave Vierra a burst of restorative energies and then left it up to her to do the rest of the work.
"There. At least now you won't feel like you're about to topple over and flail wildly as your body convinces you that up is down and down is up. You're unlucky that Leafy is busy with the other one. She'd do a better job of it."
Girana looked up when Vierra mentioned growing a giant tree, looking rather surprised even as she subconsciously continued working on healing Mosa. The arcane mage sounded like she was trying to put a lot of emphasis on that it should happen right now...
"Why would I do that?"
She didn't sound offended or accusative: she just sounded confused. She was constantly trying to not intrude upon the human settlement with the overgrowth of nature that kept reaching for her. Why did Vierra suddenly advise her to do the exact opposite? Fortunately her guardian spirit was a bit less worried about what the humans might think, and while he had just prevented Vierra doing something foolish like killing somebody (well, he assumed somebody would find it foolish. He just stopped it for Girana's sake) he was still inclined to at least listen to what she had to say. Besides, this place was somewhat dreary for his tastes, so the suggestion of putting a tree somewhere sounded all right to him.
"Sure thing. You keep an eye on mister I-can't-handle-a-little-height."
Giving Vierra a mock salute he turned back into green flames which swirled towards the dryad, who still looked somewhat confused even as Ryu went back to his usual position inside her. Girana blinked, then nodded and her expression became serious as she finished her treatment of Mosa. At least, for now.
"Please don't move too much, and try not to get entangled. After we are done here I'll make sure all the after-effects are gone."
With that she stood up and walked towards the centre of the warehouse, ignoring everything else that was going on. As she walked she focused on the ground, and everything that happened below the surface. Nature was already reaching quite far just to touch her again. Many plants were working their way towards the surface throughout the town. It wouldn't be long before people would become worried and panicky, not knowing why it was happening. It was always like this, and she wondered why she could never control it. Maybe it was because Ryu didn't really care and she couldn't keep his influence completely out of her own subconscious. But at least now she could somewhat help the town out. Unfortunately it would be more like containing the problem for a moment, after which it would return just as energetically as it had before, if not even more so. If it wasn't for Ryu urging her to do it she would have declined.
Reaching the middle of the warehouse Girana straightened up while at the same time lowering her arms, her palms pointing towards the ground at her sides. She began to hum a song as she reached out towards all the plants that were reaching for the surface throughout the town, calling to them and bidding them to come for her directly. She pulled the life force away from those plants which had already breached the surface, turned herself into a well of life force which was begging to be filled. After all, if a dryad wanted to create a large tree the best to do so was to use herself as a medium. The plants obeyed, the life force gathered, Girana could feel that there was enough energy there that Vierra would most certainly get the giant tree she had asked for. That and then some.
At first there would only be a faint rumbling, but the faint rumbling would slowly become louder and louder as the ground began to shake, vibrate, fighting back against the plants which were now all concentrated on Girana's position and forcing their way upwards with a lot more enthusiasm than before. Girana's humming became louder and more complex as she closed her hands, as if grabbing a hold of something, closed her eyes and furrowed her brow in concentration, then raised her arms as if she was pulling that which she had grabbed upwards only to then open her hands and spread her fingers towards the sky. With the amount of effort she put into that simple motion, she probably was actually pulling something upwards. And sure enough, that motion was followed by an increased shaking of the ground, and the earth right underneath Girana parting as tendrils began to shoot upwards. And then more. And more. And more and more and more. Girana was suddenly standing in the centre of an extremely large amount of stems, which quickly swallowed her up and hid her from sight as they all weaved together and seemed to merge into one whole, a whole which turned darker and rougher as bark formed on the outer surface even as the whole kept expanding upwards. Even though the dryad was no longer visible, and her presence was hidden inside the tree that was very quickly growing, her humming continued, which was turning into a song without words, vocal music without any meaning that a human would be able to hear or understand.
The tree kept growing and growing, becoming thicker and taller even as branches shot out, branches which gave birth to more branches which gave birth to yet more branches, countless finger which reached out towards the sky and the heavens. From those branches came leafs, many of them, too many for a human to even begin counting them, a single branch which grew from the main trunk already having enough leafs on it to match and bypass the amount one could find on a normal tree. And while such growth occurred in the air the ground wasn't spared either: the ground was broken apart further and further as the tree's roots kept growing and expanding, roots as thick as grown men splitting the ground to show themselves above the surface, only to reveal that they were still only branches of an even thicker root. As Girana's song continued the tree kept growing without restraint, the warehouse very quickly having to yield towards the wild overgrowth, the ceiling caving in and the walls being pulled apart as the ever-expanding tree refused to be contained.
The humans who bore witness to the dryad's song might be able to notice that even though it looked like the tree would continue growing until it had swallowed everything all the roots carefully made their way around any living being, and as the tree itself kept becoming thicker and thicker some thinner roots would carefully pick all the living beings up and place them down further away, allowing everybody who needed a safe spot away from the relentless expansion of wood and leaf, as if Vierra's request had resulted in nature deciding to take back what belonged to it in one giant surge.

Geno was floating around through space eating a taco when some pepper floated into his puppet nose and caused him to sneeze. Suddenly he sitting on Mosa's head, the puppet turned his head around 360° and took in his new surroundings.
"Where am I?" "Where are we? WHY AM I PINK NOW?!" "Cause yellow is too hard to read on this new forum." "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!"
The puppet looked down at the man who was totally ripping off his outfit. "What's up?"

Mosa took a deep breath and relaxed as Girana revitalized him once more. He felt the effects of the drugs fade and the green glow seemed to reset his body to its regular state. He still felt weary, however, and did not envision getting up to fight anytime soon. The arcane mage soon found himself following a dreamy train of thought back into the halls of his mind. Where did that shadow demon go? Where did it come from in the first place? And why did it get involved with this drug business? For some reason, his subconscious could only push one idea to the surface: the common factor was Mosa himself. He did not understand why, but he felt that it was true. The White Demon had been a manifestation of himself, somehow. Something within had created it and given rise to its manifestation. The puzzle pieces in his mind started to come together and he felt a swirling energy from deep within rising from the base of his spine all the way up. There was pressure building up in a specific spot on his forehead, centered between his eyes.
Seeing as he wasn't going anywhere, Mosa decided to leave the physical world behind to take care of itself. He trusted the people arround him enough, that they would take care of things, including safeguarding his body. Though before he could even get into his meditative state, he heard a sneeze above him and simultaneously felt a pressure on top of his head, as if a child was sitting on it.
"What's up?" A voice said.
Confused, Mosa looked up to see what entity had assumed his head as its throne.
"Who are you? And what are you doing on my head?"

Vierra laid on the ground thinking that she would just recharge. Then she felt it. Hands... More like claws touch her head. Then she felt it from her head forcing its way through her entire body. Fire surging through her entire body. Vierra's eyes opened wide as her body forced its way to the ground. She screamed as loud as she could. The pain was nothing compared to what Pantu put her through. Suddenly she sat up moving forward. Her body was extremely hot. She could feel the heat flow through all of her veins. Not only did it hurt her a lot, she felt like she was going to die. She hugged her body and looked at the elemental being and then grit her teeth. "You have to be more gentle... this is the roughest healing I have ever felt since I was shot out of the Arcane Realm." She looked around the room. Her eyes widened as she began to see the building crumble and the tree raise itself from the ground. The children would make it safe from this factory, but they needed something more. Vierra thought about it for a moment. She already used the drug which tapped into her system. That was something different. However her thoughts went into a pure concern for the entirety of the younger people here. Vierra's new energy grew and grew. She could feel a force surround her body. She could feel an adrenaline rush go through her entire body. No this wasn't adrenaline. This was magic in its purest form.
She looked at her hand free from the hidden blade. Curious she pulled the glove off. Her attention was drawn to all of the veins in her hand. They were shining blue. If someone to look at her face the majors veins going up her neck were glowing blue as well. What caught her off guard to this new feeling was the fact that she didn't feel scared, angry, or upset. She felt determined more than anything, but even that feeling was small compared to the extreme calm that covered her entire body. Everything slowed down around her. She then put it in her mind. I will save them all... She thought. She closed her eyes and a portal appeared in front of groups of children leading out of the factory into Hargeon. The children ran out of the facility as the tree grew and grew. Vierra stood looking at the situation. She placed a hand on the pocket she stuck The Emperor in. "Gilgamesh... Is this you?"
No... This is you.
She was puzzled. "What is this?" She stopped and put her concentration over to Trase. She moved over to the men who were frozen. She glared at him. "Release them." She declared. "Your goal is completed and you acquired your target." She still was covered in the arcane energy. The aura started to pulse. This was a familiar aura to those around.
Then suddenly Geno appeared. Her eyes changed as she looked at him. She opened a portal and then charged at Trase shoving him back to it. She gripped the collar of his shirt. The portal lead down to the bottom of the tree. "Leave. The facility is destroyed, the children are saved, and I will be taking the lightning mage to the authorities. There is nothing here that should concern you anymore."

Trase was about to speak out to the energy drained woman who was his ally during the assault on the facility but was cut off by the entire building being ripped apart by branches of bark as if someone had just planted some type of super plant. "Someone really wanted to change up the scenery here. Maybe they wanted to make a the facility into a tree house headquarters or something.." He smirked at his own comment like a clown would at their own bad joke in order to get those around them to do the same. He traversed his way around the branches while making his way to Vierra, dodging their attempts to grab him or anything else. One of the branches managed to grab him suddenly but was quickly frozen in place and Trase broke his way through its grip. The problem with that though was that more branches came up continually until he made it closer to Vierra who had somehow stood up from her fighting.
"Take it the restructuring of this place was your idea..? Also those guys should melt out of their latest composure in a bit. Take it as a way to teach them to not treat children in such a way." He glared toward the woman as he felt something different coming from her. Something like anger or resentment towards him. "Hmm... Maybe you figured me out and knew I was here to end that lightning bastard's life. Gotta make sure people don't look down on me after all. Need to make an example out of him." He looked towards Bruno. "I was he..!" He was unable to speak more as the woman grabbed him and pushed him through a portal. The earlier emotion on his face changed as he was propelled by her through the portal and to the bottom of the tree forming.
All of her words made him slightly angry because she didn't understand anything at all. He had returned because there was more to the place than they thought but she was right. "You are right." Black ice formed over Vierra's hand and would move up her arm if she did not let go but he knew she would. "I do have my big goal here completed but there was more to this place an Bruno than you thought there was." He fixed the collar on his shirt not feeling any sort of fear from the woman in front of him. "I'll leave it to you then. Just hopefully if anything happens you are about to deal with the situation. No reason to get so aggressive but next time we work together try to not be this way. You might end up finding a cold and dark grave then." He simply turned away from her as if he had not just threatened her life for the second time in their meeting again and walked away into a portal that quickly formed in his path. If she spoke out to him he would not respond at all and just walk into the portal that closed quickly after he walked into it.

The tree which had begun to sprout without warning other than Girana's actions kept on growing and growing, becoming ever taller and thicker in its seemingly never-ending expansion. Vierra had asked for the creation of a big tree, or at the very least had suggested it as the new course of action. However she most likely had not anticipated the fact that the person who in the end was responsible for the creation of the tree was Ryu, albeit through Girana. Ryu was an entity who followed different rules from pretty much any other living being. He lived a different live, was of a different nature, and all in all could just be considered one giant anomaly who didn't even make a lot of sense if inspected closely. This meant that he could be perceived as strange in a lot of ways, but in this particular case it had the interesting side effect that he had a very different perspective of what counted as a big tree than most humans. When humans thought of a big tree they usually just thought of a tree which reached several stories high or even was as heigh as two houses on top of each other. You know, a very respectable size for a living thing, bigger than most normal creatures could ever hope to be. Ryu however thought of big trees as the kind of trees which served as landmarks. Landmarks which would be drawn on maps which spanned the entire country, or possibly even the entire continent. It was an interesting example of how two entirely different types of creatures could think of the same concept but have entirely different perspectives of it, even if in this case it was mostly a difference in scale.
All things said and done, however, this meant that this tree wasn't just big in the normal sense. It was big in the very definition of big, which meant 'towering above everything in the vicinity'. It grew and grew, then grew some more for good measure. Its trunk kept thickening as its roots rapidly extended and multiplied, burrowing into the earth and breaking the surface as there was not enough space underground to contain all of them. As the more experienced people would know trees could be very similar to icebergs in that even if what you could see was already pretty big, you were only seeing a small amount which happened to poke out above the surface. Of course with icebergs all the stuff underneath the surface was just more ice, and it was usually a whole lot of it. With trees instead of more trunk you got roots. Lots of them. Roots, roots, roots and more roots. As the tree kept expanding so did the underground portion expand, at a very rapid pace and to scary amounts to ensure that it could support the gargantuan tree which was claiming dominance over the entire area.
Meanwhile the entire town of Hargeon was in chaos. It was one thing for a couple of powerful mages to enter a conflict with one another. Mages, especially those of the level that were present here, could probably lay waste to one town all too easily if they weren't stopped while fighting one another. After all, destruction of something as simple as a building wasn't much of a challenge once you surpassed a certain level in strength. As long as you had enough raw force to destroy a building destroying two buildings wasn't much harder. It was a good thing that the mages who were present were trying to commit to damage control as much as possible, one side because they were 'the good guys' and thus obligated not to destroy the town they were trying to help, and the other because destroying the town would alert the attention of basically everyone. As smugglers, attention was not something they liked.
It was an entirely other thing when suddenly a large warehouse somewhere between the middle of town and the harbour was ripped to shreds by a tree which quickly grew big enough that it took all the space that the warehouse had been occupying and then some. Ryu had a certain opinion of what a big tree would look like, and he also had some trouble with the concept of restraint when it came to growing plants. After all, he loved Girana, and Girana loved nature (well, even without Girana Ryu would still prefer forests and jungles over basically every other type of environment except possibly jungles in mountainous regions). More plants meant a happy Girana which was basically Ryu's primary motivation for existing these days. Well, other than just living for the sake of not being dead (for a given value of 'dead'). Add to that the fact that Ryu didn't really care for the whole civilization thing that humanoids had been creating over several thousands of years and he was just ignoring the fact that the tree and its roots were wreaking havoc in favour of telling it to grow even bigger.
Through the roots which now spread far and wide more and more life force was drawn from the earth itself to provide the growth, which caused houses and other buildings to be ripped apart both by the giant roots that were quickly expanding from the tree and all the wooden objects within the houses which were trying to return to being trees, attaching themselves to the giant tree which was supplying all the life force. Vierra's request was leading to lots and lots of wholesale destruction, which might lead one to worry for the safety of everybody in the vicinity if they weren't aware of the fact that although Ryu was rather annoyed by humans he still wouldn't kill them for no good reason, and while Girana was allowing Ryu to go overboard with the growth of the tree (she wasn't very good at saying no to him) she wasn't going to allow his recklessness to actually injure anybody. While everything which wasn't alive was helpless against the expanding tree anything which was in danger of being harmed would be grabbed by roots which carefully pulled them away from the danger and deposited them in a safer location.
When the tree stopped growing one would have to climb up quite a bit before they could see just how much the landscape had changed: the suggestion of one arcane mage combined with the presence of a particular spirit who didn't know the meaning of the word 'overkill' (can't know what doesn't exist) had resulted in something truly astounding. The trunk of the tree was as thick as the entire warehouse which had been housing the smuggling facility. Its roots spread far and wide, reaching even to the edge of town and some of them sticking into the sea from the harbour. The giant trunk rose high up in the sky, looking like a rough tower of wood attempting to reach the heavens were the gods resided. There were many low-hanging branches, although the real expansion in the sky began many houses high, where the branches began to grow numerous and large enough that half or more of Hargeon Town would now have to deal with the fact that it wasn't going to get any real sun after the sun had ended its morning climb, and would have to wait until it began to descend back behind the horizon again.
When all was said and done, Hargeon Town was now less like a normal town and more like a giant tree with lots of houses built around it, many of it had been turned into ruins which had also immediately been overtaken be wild overgrowth. Ryu and Girana might have gone through the trouble of making sure their little expansion wouldn't harm anybody in the physical sense, but on the psychological level some people might not be happy about the arrival of a giant tree, not even mentioning the fact that their house and quite a lot of their possessions had been destroyed. For Girana and Ryu material possessions weren't really important (they didn't really need anything to ensure their survival and since they were both by nature inclined to travel a lot having lots of stuff would only be a nuisance), and even if they had taken into account the fact that humans found their stuff a bit more important Ryu most likely still would've gone through with it because he was more enthusiastic about the tree than that he was worried about the possibility of causing trouble for the humans.
Girana's wordless song continued even as the tree had finished growing, covering the entirety of the town in its melody to signify that this occurrence was indeed not normal, but it also wasn't unnatural. This was the result of a loved child of nature having been encouraged to draw nature to herself, forming a new bastion of life.
If anybody bothered to check they would also find that underneath some of the surfaced roots there were openings which seemed to lead towards the trunk. The pathways themselves were utterly dark, but there was a warm golden light at the other end, which would encourage most people to press on. If they actually did so they would find that the passages went upwards before actually ending in the trunk of the tree, which apparently was hollow. Also huge, like every other aspect of the tree. The golden light seemed to fill the air without any real source, and the inside of the trunk was also pleasantly warm. However it was also pretty empty, so unless the humans wanted to wander around and just gawk at the giant hollow inside the trunk they would quickly get bored. Girana also was nowhere to be seen, and her song seemed to originate from the trunk itself.
Meanwhile on the outside Vierra would be privy to one of the roots next to her suddenly appearing to reach upwards with a claw made of wood. The claw slammed down and grabbed the root it sprouted from and began to pull, an entire humanoid form beginning to appear out of the root. As the humanoid form finished pulling itself out and stood up it rapidly became more and more detailed, until the arcane mage was facing a creature very similar to the Ryu that she had seen before. In fact it probably was just him, since his eyes were exactly the same. However his body had undergone some significant changes. His scales had already looked like leafs before, but now they actually were leafs. In the same vein the orange lupine fur that had covered certain parts of Ryu's body had been replaced by very slender and long blades of orange-golden grass. His claws and fangs, the only parts of him aside from his eyes which weren't covered by either leafs or grass, were no longer the yellowish colour you'd expect from a predatory animal. Instead they looked like they had been formed (or even grown) from the same wood that formed the body of the giant oak that now dominated Hargeon Town.
The figure grabbed the scarf made of leafs and wrapped it completely around its shoulders before it reached down, its claws sinking into the root as if breaching the water surface before going up again, each claw pulling an object out of the root that had given birth to the strange creature. One claw was pulling up what looked like a set of prayer beads, although these prayer beads were each easily as large as a fist and all connected by a chain of interwoven vines. The other claw held onto a quarterstaff, although at the upper end of the staff more vine-rope was attached, about a foot long, with a wooden sphere the size of a head hanging from it.
Ryu placed the large prayer beads over his head so they ran over his shoulders and across his upper back and chest, on top of his leaf muffler, then tapped the sphere attached to his staff with one clawed finger. The orb immediately began to emit a golden light as the guardian spirit rested the staff against his shoulder so the lantern hung behind him as he looked at Vierra. He'd look like a very good representation of a monk formed of nature itself if it wasn't for those burning orange draconic eyes of his, even if he did look fairly relaxed.
"For your information I did tell you that I wasn't as good at healing as Leafy. Anyway..."
He looked up at the tree which they were all standing at the base of and grinned.
"What do you think? You asked for a giant tree and we certainly did deliver. Leafy's still working out the small details so it'll be able to sustain itself and keep forming and providing both life and magic energy, but she'll come out afterwards. Don't be surprised at her appearance though. As you might notice we tend to be affected when we do stuff like this. Although on my part it's also just because this feels more fitting."
The lantern swayed as Ryu looked around, inspecting the town around them before looking back at Vierra and raising an eyebrow.
"So, where's everybody else? Normally I'd be able to figure stuff out myself but Leafy's busy with the tree and currently there's so much magic and life in the air that finding people who I don't know very well is a hassle. I think I felt that demon guy here just now but I don't see him anywhere."

"Who are you? And what are you doing on my head?" In response to the voice from the mysterious man beneath him Geno stood up and made a back flip off the scalp of the enigma. "It is I the great and powerful Geno Verl." The puppet said as he landed in a Y-pose and a visible cascade of arcane energy burst from beneath him, like tidal waves crashing on an epic peak. "Nice touch on the imagery there, you really sold it." Thanks, I try. As the puppet looked around to the four people standing nearby he was filled with a strangely familiar feeling. His eyes were lead along by instinct toward Vierra. He stared down the woman for a good six seconds before his body dropped lifelessly to the ground, like a puppet who's strings had been cut. As the wisp floated toward Vierra it spoke. "I sense something, a presence I've not felt since…" As it seemingly disappeared into Vierra's body. "Dear Us..." "It couldn't be..." "Oh but it is... we've found... this... belongs to that person..." And indeed it was so. "Squish-Squish"
